I'm just sure this must be a forum topic somewhere but I did not find it when I looked, so I'll throw it out there.
Anyone here have a physical object that they keep with them for writing that serves no other purpose? I have a thing with coins, I find there is just something about either old or foreign or interesting coins that inspire me plus they give my fingers something to do while my brain pauses for inspiration and there is no typing or writing happening.
Currently it is just an old 2 pence coin I got while on a trip to Northern Ireland back in the 90's, I find for me it can be a huge source of creativity just merely stopping to think about all of the possible places it has travelled, how many people have touched it and what they used it to buy, what was going on in their lives at the time, did it sit in someone's drawer for two years, was it used to buy candy to make a child happy and also used to buy alcohol that destroyed another family, etc. I just like coins.
Anybody else have a similar item they carry for this sort of purpose?
