NaNoWriMo runs on your donations... if you're going to use the forums and word count tools for your non-NaNo-Nanos, consider making a small donation to make sure they're here for you to use next year!

Make a donation today, and get rewarded!

Broke? NO PROBLEM! We have options for you, too! You might not get your shiny angel's halo (symbolic of your angelic status as a supporter of this fabulous program), but NaNoWriMo can still benefit!

Donating When Broke

We depend on your generosity, and our goal this year is to get 10% of our participants to donate, just a little... if we could do that, we could hit our goal in no time!

Thank you so much! Donations from you rebels mean even more... because you are marching to your own beat, AND care enough about what NaNo is doing that you'll donate! (You know what I'd like to see? the Rebels out-donating everyone here. That'll show the naysayers. ;)

If you can't donate to NaNoWriMo, then the inter-dimensional aliens have already won.

If I donate and order merchandise at the same time, will the donor goodies be shipped together with the merchandise? I'm waiting for the hoodies to be back in stock and I'd like to save you some overseas postage fees for the donor goodies...

I'm so very grateful for what NaNoWriMo has done for me the past seven years, so of course I will donate :-)

Yep, got my halo. Would love to order at least a t-shirt but the shipping (to Malaysia) comes up to more than the item itself!

I'm looking forward to receiving the postcard from Chris, and also the sticker, too.

Yep! I just got mine. I thought that I'd already donated, but it must've been much earlier in the year, since I didn't have my halo... Or maybe I was thinking of last year. I donated a quarter of my food budget for this week! I say it that way to put things in the perspective that I'm looking through. Ah, I just remembered; I donated for SF earlier this year, and hadn't year donated for NaNo... I donate for each every year! Even though money is tight and all.

Is there a way of seeing how much Rebels donate compared to the other NaNo-ers?

Have a nice day!
Moya

Probably not, as I'm sure every WriMo belongs to more than one forum. I'm here, as well as over at the NaNo Technology, Age 50 plus, and Malaysia forums.

Unfortunately, not right now. The only groups which have donations tracked are genres and regions.

I'm thrilled to be able to give back to NaNo, because NaNo has done so much for me. It kept me going one year when I was pretty sick, and last year sent me tons of stuff--at no charge--for a youth group I was working with.

I bought a t-shirt yesterday, how long does it usually take for the halo to show up? :)

Buying merchandise isn't considered a donation (although it IS a contribution!) so you don't get halos for buying stuff. Your thank-you gift for buying merchandise the the merchandise itself. :)

So many halos in this forum are really making me smile. Maybe you guys will be the key to getting us to the 10% donation target this year!

I donated! Very excited! Wish i could have given more, but I have done fundraisers before and KNOW that every little bit adds up, so if you are thinking of it.. just DO it. It helps!

As of this writing, no, but I plan to get one sometime soon. I will start a job on Monday, and then I will have actual money for the purchasing of halos.

I did, but through someone else's PP, so am halo-free. I'm fine with that.

And so are we. What really counts is that you did... not showing off about it! (although the angelic status is really awesome.) Thank you.

Since it's automated, you probably didn't include your username when you ordered. Contact the store, and include your order number and username, and they'll get you set up. :)
