Well, I'm not sure how much this will help people, but...

-Small town girl (like, literally...it took 20 minutes to drive through farmlands to get into "town") - Nor Cal

-English literature BA (I'm sure I'm not the only one!), multiple subject teaching credential

-Video/computer games (one brother, one boyfriend, two nephews, and me...a big, huge Wii nerd)

Nanomail is the best way to reach me. Hope I can help! Good luck to all!

I don't have a whole lot to offer (outside of Final Fantasy and Warcraft insight, hush), but, BUT I am quite knowledgeable about behind the scenes things/horror stories relating to hotels. So, if you've got a question relating to that, I can probably get you an answer. (NaNoMail works best.)

- Moderate knowledge of French, Russian, and Arabic languages
- Know quite a bit about international politics (i.e., whether or not your countries are likely to behave the way you want them to)
- Know quite a lot about psychology, particularly abnormal psychology; although I do not have a formal degree in it, I minored in it and have done a lot of independent research.

I've seen a few people asking about universities in Britain and their set-up. I'm English and have been involved with three British universities, including Cambridge, and am happy to answer related questions by nanomail.

I speak some Welsh too if that's useful.

My expertises:

Art in all its aspects from creation to marketing, art history, mediums especially colored pencils and oil pastels, art terminology and an artist's lifestyle ranging from street art to gallery art and illustration careers. I've done street art, chose not to do illustration and didn't stick long with the gallery career since I was more set on becoming a writer.

New Orleans 1990s, including living on the cheap with more luxury than a regular job in Chicago that earned tons more got me.

Natural history and dinosaurs, though not to the level of a professor, just an interested amateur.

Modern paganism in several varieties, I'm Norse pagan but very familiar with other streams including Wicca and the more formal variations on Wicca and fairy wicca and other types of paganism.

I can help in the following:

Korean language: I'm Korean, and I'm fluent in the language. I don't think Korean's in high demand here, but if it helps. :)

And I lived in three different states (NY, CT, and PA) so I can help with you if your character is new in town, and the difficulties of having to adjust to three different school districts. -grumble-

I can also help with knowledge of the borough of Queens, where I was raised in my erstwhile youth, ahahahaha!

I can be contacted through NaNoMail.

Horses -- please, please, please consult someone if you're writing them and have no experience, regardless of whether it's me or not.

Playing violin

Cyber school -- I'll note that if you have a child/teenage protagonist, this is a good way to get around them having to be in school all the time.

If you'd like to contact me, you can NaNoMail me for my contact details; I'll give you my actual email address and/or my AIM screenname, whichever you prefer.
