Hey guys, I'm MacKenzie, and this is my first year trying this NaNoWriMo stuff. I've always been into writing, and I think NaNoWriMo is a great idea. I'm honestly quite excited to see how far I can run with it :)

'Ello!
I'm Iya and I've never actually participated in NaNo before, but I had considered it. This year I decided I'd at least give it an attempt despite a great deal of advice telling me not to! I am in my 2nd year at STU and part of this semester's Creative Writing course. Just today, we had a speaker some to give us some information and ask some questions, so I felt I should just go for it. Sadly, I can't make any of the 2pm Sunday meetings thanks to a prior arrangement, but I hope to haunt at least some of the gatherings.

Hi! That was me in your creative writing class. It's so awesome that you signed up! I think any new words you write with NaNo is exciting -- those are words you wouldn't have had otherwise! People are surprised to learn how many nooks and crannies there are in a day to cram some writing in -- and add in a couple longer bursts of writing (such as our 12-hour write-in or our writing retreat) and you suddenly have a lot more than you thought you would!
It's so great to see so many people from Fredericton taking part. I hope to see some of you at the Meet n' Greet this Sunday (2 p.m. at the Prospect St. Dairy Queen) or at the Kick-Off Party this Friday (in a private home; RSVP to writerwithoutborders@gmail.com for the address). There's also online write-ins right at midnight on Nov. 1 (take advantage of the extra hour from Daylight Savings Time!) and again that evening. Those will help you get a head start on your novel!

Hey, I'm Emma. I did NaNoWriMo last year and am excited to do it again! I'm a first year at STU and have been interested in creative writing since the fourth grade. I think that this is a great way to get people writing and hopefully leads to some great fiction and non-fiction from new and experienced writers.

Hello hello! My name is Mare, like the horse, and this is my third year doing Nano and (hopefully!) my first time winning. I'm planning on showing up to as many events as I can, and if I try to quit halfway through like I did the last two times I tried this everyone here has permission to berate me into continuing. Break out your best your best literary-themed "yo mama" jokes, people.
I like how enthused this thread title is!

To Mare: Heh, I can hassle you in Drama Production too! In return, you have to hassle me ^_~ We could hassle each other in English Research, but the prof might find that weird.

Hey all! I first signed up for NaNo in '05 and never did it! So this year I'm doing it with my husband, Addison (WriMo Dudely). I probably won't get a chance to do it again for a while, since we're expecting our first child in April! I'm really looking forward to it :)

Bump.
This is a little overdue, I know, but...
I'm Justin, and I just finished an M.Sc in Biology at UNB. While I'm figuring out what to do with myself now, I've decided to finally sit down and do NaNo this year. It's rather intimidating, actually sitting down to do something like NaNo, but I've been psyched for this ever since this summer.
