Hi Everyone!
I'm redcurlkennesaw, the ML for the Kennesaw/Marietta/Georgia Elsewhere zone. I'm totally excited about this year, aren't you? I live near and go to KSU, where I'm a history major. This will be my sixth Nanowrimo- I've won four of those years and written an alternate history and several fantasy adventure novels. And I can't finish a Script Frenzy to save my life.
How about you?

Hello everyone!
I'm David, a third year participant in Valdosta. I've been successful for the past two years with this and I'm not going to stop now. I'm a high school teacher, and while I tend to write about things like zombies, I'm hoping to make a go at something more serious this year. I've been unofficially organizing writing get-togethers in Valdosta for the past two years, and I'm hoping to find more people in the area to join us this year. Best of luck everyone!
Cheers!

Heyas!
bearilou from North Georgia (Clermont area). I've done NaNo for a few years, winning once and failing abysmally a few times. Hasn't harshed my desire to keep trying, though! I was trapped in New Jersey for many years and have just recently made my escape back home to Georgia, looking forward to trying NaNo again this year, and hoping to hook up with other writers in my area.

Insert blatant copypaste from Atlanta forum: "I'm currently 26, live at the northern end of the Atlanta sprawl, Gainesville (aka BFE, georgia) and I work in the mortgage business. What a GREAT place to be right now! :D I'm also an unashamed dork, quite possibly evil, flunked out of computer science at Tech (went on to Japanese) and have a horrid sense of humor that you all will be exposed to for an entire month. Mwahaha."
If it so happens there are other Gainesvillains here, I'm totally up for crashing at Inman Perk a couple of times this month. :D

Hi there! 23 year-old technical communications student from Savannah here. You can call me Ren. :) I've been a member of the NaNo website for several years now, but I've never really seen the process through. Now I'm absolutely determined to reach that elusive 50k word count. Nice to meet you all, and best of luck when November comes!

I'm here because Redcurl guilted me into it - I'm Mattkinsi, otherwise known as Tim. I'm one of the co-MLs for Atlanta, although honestly none of us live inside the true city limits of Atlanta, just the 'burbs. My burb o choice in Marietta, close to the Marietta-Smyrna demarcation zone.
I will say that feel free to join any of the Atlanta events, once we get them all posted, if there's none happening in your area being put on by the wonderful redcurl or anyone else in your local area. We won't make you affiliate with us to write with us. (although.... :-)

Hello everyone,
I live in Fayetteville--south of the airport--and have for the past five years. I have also lived in Roswell/Alpharetta areas for many years. this is my first time trying the nanomo and I hope to make the 50K mark. Even if I don't I should have a good start on a novel.

There's at least one person I can recall down south and some effort to get some write-ins down there. Check the Atlanta forum :)

I'm Mari and I'm in Thomasville. Last year I went to Valdosta for the write in. I will be doing that again, but more frequently this year. I'm also hoping to maybe get a write in in Thomasville, maybe at The Bookshelf on Broad St.
I don't know what I'm going to write this year. I just know it will be in first person...and probably romance.

Amanda here, a 26 year old shade tree mechanic/parts slinger from Tifton. This is my fifth nano...Hopefully I'll make it this year. All years I've written in the supernatural genre, and this year will be no different. But...Haha, I'm attempting to write what Twilight would have been like had it actually been awesome. And had demons instead of vampires. Kind of a Devil May Cry, Twilight, Emo Scene inspired thing. I don't even know. My brain likes doing this to me.
Anyway, I'm actually excited this year. And am hoping to find more people in the area to write with, because this loner thing is awful.
Edited because my typing skills are made of fail. :[

Hello everyone! I'm just your average 16-year-old who's written 6 novels in the last year and a half. =) I've done NaNo twice before and won both times. I'm super pumped for this year.
My address says I'm in Gainesville but really I live in Clermont. 'bout a half hours drive to Gainesville. I'd love to do a Write In sometimes if any one's around my area.
Good luck everyone!

Cool, someone else in Johns Creek! (Good lord, have you got a commute though, Rock!)
I actually live and work in Johns Creek. NaNoWriMo rookie, a technology consultant torn between drafting a book to boost my software-development consulting business, and drafting a sci-fi or fantasy novel.
Anyone else in the Johns Creek area, like Rock, perhaps we can commiserate / check-in during a weekday lunch. There's two likely cafes near to my residence and place-o-work, at 141 cross 120, which I think would be great for this. My daytime schedule through to about 1:30pm is very flexible (I bill out the rest), so other location can work out too.

Hi, everyone. I'm Kelly from Barnesville. If any other NaNos are close by, I'd like to hear from you. If there aren't any, my Home Region will have to be Macon. Which is cool since I know lots of people in Macon and Warner Robins.
This will be my first year in NaNo and I'm REALLY excited. Only recently did I have the faintest urge to write fiction. I love writing non-fiction, mostly as a way of clarifying my thinking about a topic I want to understand better. Now I want to try fiction for partly the same reason, but this time clarifying my thinking about ideas and characters. My biggest hope is that I'll get to experience a character of my invention taking on a life of his/her own and taking control of a story. Or whatever mysterious happens like that...only time will tell.
My mind never shuts off having crazy ideas, so I'm open to anyone who wants to bounce ideas off of me, or ask for ideas.
Wish the best to all of you this NaNo season!

Heyy. I'm Caitlyn, a 14-year-old in Hoschton. This is my first year doing NaNo, but I'm really excited about it; writing is a major passion of mine. I'm not completely sure about what I want to do for the novel. I'm debating between something in poetry format [poetry is my favourite form of writing], journal format, or just plain first person with little different bits mixed in. [I hate trying to write ALL in one form; it's why I love poetry, because it's never the exact same.]

Hi, Gang!
I'm a first time NaNo, and I actually did an outline that I may or may not use. This is going to be such fun! I have just migrated from Win Vista "de Beasta" to Linux Ubuntu 9.04 so my machine won't need another reformat in the middle of NaNo.
I'm in Cuthbert, GA, which is in Randolph County sorta near Eufaula, AL and Albany, GA. I notice several NaNoers from Early County. I told the folks in Clay Co Library [Fort Gaines] and Calhoun Co Library [Edison, GA] about NaNo, and Family Connection is sponsoring a group, so looking forward to seeing y'all here! Calhoun's group will include young writers.
I'm a disabled single mom who loves computers and nerdy stuff. My daughter Maggie attends Andrew College here in Cuthbert, and my older daughter, Amanda, is a vet tech in Portland, OR. My household includes Maggie, Aki The Silky Terrier, and Anya the Russian Blue; none of them decided to do NaNo this yesr, so they'll just have to put up with me. Aki and Anya are frustrated writers; they just can't seem to keep their paws off my keyboard!

Hello, all.
I'm DarkeAOU--call me Darke or AOU, I answer to both. My location's a bit tetchy, since I actually live in Burke County, which is only about ten minutes or so outside of Hephzibah, but I'm only home on the weekends. Monday to Friday, I'm stuck in Grovetown, half to help take care of my Grandma (who had a stroke last July) and half to keep my Mom from killing my Uncle.
The only good news about this arrangement is that Grandma's house has Internet, and so I can participate in NaNoWriMo.
And also, redcurlkennesaw? I know what you mean about Script Frenzy. I almost drove myself insane when I ran out of story on page 99. I was short just half a page. Luckily I decided to include a bonus chapter for that graphic novel script I was working on, otherwise I'd have been completely out of luck.
I just wish that participating in Script Frenzy didn't stick me with writer's block for a month and a half. It was awful.

I'd love to catch up with anyone north of Atlanta.
