Same version as last year. Definitely works in OpenOffice; may or may not work in other applications that support the OpenDocument standard.

If you find a bug or have trouble downloading it, please post in this thread or send me a NaNoMail.

Good luck to everyone! :-)

This is going to sound really lame, but I got a proper thrill of excitement when I opened this. I've used it for my two previous years, and seeing it really makes it feel like nano :-D

Between this and Writer's Tools (A plug in you can download, it has some really useful add ins, such as a word count goal) I don't think there will be much chance for procrastination from me.

Thanks so much for this! I'm really excited now!

Is there any way to convert this to excel? I don't have open office (I'm a strict Microsoft Office user) and I would LOVE to use the report card, had one last year and it helped a lot, but I can't open this one.

So if there's an excel version or someone could convert it for me I would GREATLY appreciate it,
Thanks!

Check around in this forum for threads about Excel spreadsheets. There's usually several different versions every year.

Thank God! I was on this forum about to post a distress call about looking for one of these. These are. my. life. It's what modivates me to get those words out. Glad to have found one! Although I'm not sure about the Open Office thingy. I can't download anything at school anyways... so I'll see when I get home.

Great spreadsheet.

I tried opening it with Google Docs, and while it does open, and generally works in Google Docs, there are some issues. I know you don't support Google Docs but I just thought I'd point it out in case anyone else uses it or if you wanted to make it more compatible or whatever. I don't know if it's just functionality that Google Docs simply doesn't support, or if they are still "beta" and can't parse the ODS format properly. I suspect it's the latter.

I can testify that this works great in Open Office, and others have said that it also works on NeoOffice for Macs.

Edit: just tested Google Docs with Excel spreadsheet, and it isn't very good with opening those, either. Maybe in another five years Google will catch up to the rest of the world with this whole technology thing!

I have opened this in OpenOffice, saved it as .xls (MS Excel format), and re-opened it in OpenOffice, and it seems to work fine. I don't have any version of Excel so I can't test it that way.

If you are willing to test it, I can convert this to .xls format and probably convince Atalanta to post a copy of it.

This is PERFECT! I was looking for a report card, and this one has all the features I want without looking all cluttered and unfortunate.

Thank you so much! Playing with this will DEFINITELY keep me motivated.

Hi all,

Great work on this reportcard. I checked it out last year and really liked it.

Just to let you know I've made a reportcard for openoffice too. Please see this link to another thread.

Atlanta, I'd really appreciate any feedback you have for me!

Hey, very cool it's here again! I loved this baby last year. I've been looking in my old folders for Report Cards, and comparing some that other Wrimos in my region had, but I think this one is so far the best and most extensive.

Would XLS be possible? I'm lucky to have open office, but the rest of my computer and others that I work on are Microsoft, and I'd like to be able to carry it around to school and open it there if I work on my novel. This is purely indulgence, you understand, I could update at home as well, but it's become sort of an addiction to update after every few hundred words and gloat over my progress.

Okay, I've uploaded an XLS version, though I make no guarantee as to how well it converted. If you have problems downloading it, let me know.

I'm glad to see so many people are finding the spreadsheets useful!

If you have OpenOffice, you can simply save it as Excel 97 format and it will be portable to your other computers that run Excel.

I tried making one of these myself. Then I found yours.

Mine quickly went in the Recycle Bin.
Love it! It's so detailed, and so colourful, and so professional! Brilliant

Thanks a lot!

I was going to make one myself, but it looks like you already did all the work, so I'll just use yours :D

Thank you exponentially for saving this in a file type that can be opened by an older version of Excel. It downloaded with no problems. :)

It's my first time here, and I can't wait to start filling in the chart!

Thanks so much!
