I know it is probably silly, but I actually got a thrill when I logged on tonight and noticed that the word count meter was back at zero. It means they are gearing up for November 1st! I am so ready, it is actually hard to start writing on this next book. Luckily I have five more chapters to outline, and a wedding cake to make the last week of October. That should help me wait until the "gun" goes off for the start.

I hope you guys are as excited as I am!

I was soooooo happy when I saw it back at zero. my pitiful word count from last year wwas gone and I will be able to replace it with something good.

that is, if I can get my mind to swich from the other four stories that were products of previous Nanos to the one i want to write this year. or one of the ones i want to write this year. even a mix of the many ideas i want to write this year.darnit I have no idea what im going to write.

I'M READY! I'M READY! I'M READY! I'M READY!

I'm actually a little disappointed. I can't do NaNo this year, it's my senior year and I'm barely staying afloat as it is.

It made my stomach sink. I had over 60000 words on there. And now it's gone. *sob* But, I will just have to do my best to get it back up there. ;) I am sooooo looking forward to this year. Trying a new genre for me and have high hopes.

What genre are you trying this year? You'll have to keep us posted on how it goes.

I'm moving to Charlotte right around the first, so I expect to lose several days to the moving truck (yikes). Once I'm up and running, I'd love to join in any writing sessions that are on the calendar - extra bonus points if there are folks over 25 interested in writing with me.

I'm looking to participate in some group dynamics this year, I need to do whatever it takes to finish. I've got some pretty good outlined ideas already I'm playing with. Much more promising than years past.

How does this work, someone makes a meeting schedule, or am I jumping ahead a bit? Anyway, very excited to start but not yet :)

I am thinking the Horror/Thriller genre this time aroung, only, with a twist. You know how in horror stories, especially lately, there is some evil ting going around killing perfectly harmless, but painfully hot women? Well, this one will be a bit different. In this one, the victims are all bad people, each getting away with some pretty heinous crimes. The killer, a lone woman with a mysterious origin. No longer able to sit and watch from her place within the ranks of watcher angels, she sacrifices her immortality to take action and bring painful, gorey justice to those vile, sinful creatures.

I am thinking the story will be told from the perspective of the homicide detective who is reluctantly trying to put together the pieces.

Haven't thought of a name yet though.

Yeah, it means I have a new project that I have to get moving and started with.
At least my muse stays with me, even if I can't get to the Poplar Tent.
I don't worry about left turns, I just work around them.
As for plot, my bunnies (squirrels) work for me, and don't try to hide from me!
There will be a year I get to the Poplar Tent and don my best doublet and codpiec`ed hose.
Enjoying this subject of 0.

Every year, mid October, I start to get VERY excited. And it's weird, because every year I say I'm not going to do it. But this year... I can feel it... plus I'm unemployed. ^__^
