Are we planning to meet up at midnight on the 31st again to start this machine up? I would love to if anyone else is down. Especially since I work Sundays and won't be able to make it to any of those meetings again this year.

I feel like the pancakes and writing last year was well-received by those who made it to IHOP. There's also a 24-hour eatery on Notre Dame's campus proper to consider. We certainly should have something for those who can ignore Halloween at midnight to start writing!

If we had an October 31 late night gathering, who would attend? Speak up or we'll never knoooow!

Enjoy the meet up that night!

I don't think my parents would let me go somewhere at midnight ;)

Any other time of the day! But not that late! Besides I think we're going out of town that day, so I pray we'll be back in time, and I'll be awake enough to try at midnight!

I'd be up for a midnight meeting, either on the ND campus or at IHOP. A few major conferences mean that most of the Halloween celebrations over here will happen on Friday, so no conflict there. But who am I kidding? Nano's the best party in town.

I'd be up for it. Either location is fine with me!

I personally would like to cast my vote for sticky-syrupy-goodness and costumes at IHOP (I don't know my way around ND, having never gone there).

Also if anyone needs a ride that night, let me know. And if we decide on IHOP, I'll let them know we're planning on bringing a group in again.

Either would be fine with me. But it would be easier if we did it at ND. I would need a ride if we did it at IHOP.........

have you ever realized how awkward it is to post in threads started by people you don't know? XD

Sorry. Kickoff party totally conflicts with my happy-naked-Pagan-Halloween-Religious Observances that night!

Have Fun though!

If we go with IHOP for the Kick-off, maybe we should plan an all-nighter (or late-nighter) at ND for another time? A mid-month all-nighter is great for pushing through that 20k slump!

For those of you on-campus, I know that Mustard (creative writing group) is planning a mid-November writeathon--will try to keep you posted about that.

Also I am either way for October 31st at midnight. :-)

Any way to get Mustard to post its plans in the NaNo forums, J? I don't want to isolate two NaNo-ing groups in the same region - everyone should certainly feel welcome to attend whatever writing events we manage to cook up.

I can talk to somebody tonight at Mustard. Either I can see if somebody there can post info, or I can get the info and post it for them.

Count me in for the midnight meet if the place is IHOPing.
