(Disclaimer: this first sentence won't really apply once 11/1 hits, but tell us anyway!)So, I know we haven't started yet - but this should be a good excercise. If you haven't already figured out what you're writing, then hopefully this can help you think on it a bit. And if you have, great!

So, what genre are you writing this year? Is it different from what you usually write/Different from what you've done for NaNo before (if you've participated)?

I suppose mine falls under Fiction - not sure how else to classify the fictionalized truish story lol. Its very different from what I normally write, since I usually write high fantasy in made up worlds with dragons and magic and silliness.

I'm writing Fantasy this year. I tried it in 2006 and was unsuccessful, but I'm giving the genre another shot.

This is my first attempt - but with a story that bounced around inside my head since 2004 or so ... I'll be attempting a Horror / Suspense! ... I was about to define that a bit further ... but decided against it in favor of letting the characters tell me their own story as we begin to meet one another in November

I write Romance. Always Romance. What can I say "I'm in love with love" But this wip is a new type and challenge for me. It is very complicated and very deep. I am sure it will have people thinking "Hmm, I didn't think of it that way before"

I hope I can pull it off in writing and do it the justice it deserve, as the vivid picture I see in my head.

Fantasy/Romance.

Or rather, Fantasy/Erotica/Romance?

Umm.

Well, definitely Fantasy, because it's in my world that I've been working on for years. The last 3 nano's have all been set in this world, just based and centered around individual characters. This one more than likely will be as well.

I just need to figure out which character it will be.....

Going to write a non-fiction book about my experience working as an expatriate in Singapore for a year. Been meaning to get around to writing it, now with nanowrimo I have an excuse!

Fantasy with Adventure/Romance. Maybe some Horror thrown in for good measure. Been slowly building up an outline over the last few months.
