In years past, we have used write-ins as a way to get together, write together, encourage each other, and have fun while doing it all. We've usually met at Panera bread (in Newark, and N. Wilmington), and we've usually had at least 2 a week. One in Newark, and one in Wilmington. (I apologize to those in lower DE, please organize a write-in down there, I don't know my way around down there and thus dont have any suggestions!). Also - feel free to post anytime you decide you're going to go somewhere to write and want people around, or even if you just want people to come write with you at home.

Do we have preferences on nights? What nights don't work for you? Would you be interested in a Saturday/Sunday day writein?

Last year I ran into a couple of participants at the Delaware Book Festival just by chance. The details for this year's festival are at this link, Delaware Book Festival. The festival is Nov 1, 2009 (I know, the hard core Nano's will start at midnight the night before) 10 - 4. Great workshops for aspiring writers! I'll be at the poetry reading which is always great.

I haven't gotten to write-ins in the past but am hoping to change that this year. I live in Newark and have classes on Monday and Wednesday nights so those to nights would not be good for me.

Yes, the Delaware Book Festival is still at the Legislative Mall in Dover. Check out this link: Delmarva Activities .

Apparently the official site won't be updated until the program is finalized.

I live in Newark and I know you guys have met at Panera in the past for the write-ins. I just wanted to mention that there is a Internet Cafe in Newark too. If you head toward rt 40 on 896 from the college campus, the Internet Cafe is in the shopping center just on the other side of 95. In Four Seasons Shopping Plaza. I've never actually been inside but from looking inside it seems like a nice place. Could be a possibility if anyone wanted to try a new place.

I'll try to make what I can...probably anything but Thursday or Sunday unless kendo sucks me back in again! Looking forward to more grain-filled shenanigans this year!
