Hey, all, just wondering if there are an WriMos here yet from my area!

I live near Ocean City, in Worcester County, and this will be my second year of NaNo. I'm totally pumped!

ME!

I'm from around Salisbury, in Wicomico County. This will be my second year as well. *high fives*

I wish it were November already . . .

I'm from outside Salisbury (way down Nanticoke Rd).

This is my 2nd year trying, and (fingers crossed) first year winning!

I'm trying to get some friends from the area involved, and will lead them here if I can get them off their butts! (or on their butts, but writing, as the case may be.)

Also from Salisbury. Newtown, to be precise.

This is my first year. Hoping to get back on track with a serious writing schedule.

Ahhh, everyone is from Salisbury! ;)

*high fives back* Cool, it's always better when there's a group of us. Does anyone know if we'll be having write-ins this year? I remember there used to be a group. They weren't exactly productive, but they were fun!

I'm hoping that my novel this year is actually readable. I've been working on my outline, and just have a few kinks to iron out before I can start drilling down to the details. I think it should help a lot; I spent a lot of time in '07 just wracking my brain for "what next?"

I'd be up for a write in, especially late in the month... Weekend afternoons I'm usually free, if I plan early enough. Anyone else?

Well, I still have high school, which doesn't let out 'til 3pm, and then I have to get a ride into Salisbury. (I assume we'd have it in Salisbury, since most people seem to be there?) But I could definitely get it to work. I think that we need to have at least *one* write in as motivation--maybe midway through?--and a celebratory one would be nifty, too.

More folks should join as the starting date ticks closer, so that's a plus, at least. I have at least one local friend who's pledged to do it with me.

I'm trying to get my brothers to join, one goes to Stephen Decatur, the other would, but he's homeschooling instead. They're both in OC, but if they do it they'd probably come to the write-in in Salisbury. I'm thinking B&N or Panera, although if other people have a better plan, say it out loud.

My wife, the beautiful Gypsyfae, talked me into once again attempting the great impossible task that is Nanowrimo. I already work full time and have college, so this is all being done on faith. Still, my wife is hopeful, so I'll keep the torch lit. I'm writing a pulp adventure this time around, so if you're interested check out my synopsis and tell me what you think!

Good luck to everyone!

Wow, there is a nice amount of Salisbury people here!

I'm also from Salisbury in Wicomico County. It is my third year (second on this account).

Hopefully NaNo will kick start me into writing at a more hectic schedule! I'm in an online college so I can schedule everything around... everything!

Giving a shout out. Honestly, I don't know if I can do it this year. I had to step down from co-ML, and I can't head the Word War Challenge either. I'll be lucky if I get my writing in. Too much illness in the family and working odd hours.

But I'm gonna try.

I'm in Ocean Pines. I've been doing it since 2006, but only completed that first year. Lots of things have changed for me this year...not sure if they'll help or hurt my efforts, but I'm gonna try!!

Good luck, everyone!!!!

I'm in Salisbury. This will be my third NaNo attempt...

First time was several years back when I was in college and my course overload completely took over any writing time I might have had... Second time was last year when my dance troupe decided to have an event in November and sucked up all my writing time with practice dates...

This year, November is looking more low key, so hopefully I'll make it through!

From Salisbury as well.

I think it would be fantastic if we can get a few write-ins around here. Probably would be a good idea if we have different times too so people with different schedule can have a chance to attend.

I had success my second year of Nano but after that it has been a flat out disaster... I guess that is what happen when you get caught up in the craziness of life, work and family.

I do hope to redeem myself this year as nothing can compare to what I felt when I completed my 50,000 words the second year. I want to feel that way again.

High Five to y'all!

In 2007, we met at the Lighthouse Diner....it's cheap, they have outlets, there's plenty of room, and it's open 24/7. I guess it's a college kid favorite? Lol. The food is really basic diner food (french fries, chicken tenders, hot wings, all that good stuff) but for diner food, it's good, and they're nice! It seems like a good alternative to B&N/Panera since ours are so tiny...

I like this idea of multiple meetups. How do Thursday nights work for anyone else? We could meet up at six or seven...If anyone else has suggestions, let us know! It's sad that the folks over the bridge are peppering the Maryland calendar and the shore is just MIA. :)

Thursday night could work... I don't mind the lighthouse diner, but that's just me. Anyone opposed to it?

I could potentially do a Thursday night... Lighthouse wasn't bad last time I was there...but that was at least five years ago!

All someone has to do is confirm place, day of week, time, host, and post to the Write-In thread - we can't wait to have the Shore on the Calendar!!!

Hey guys/gals...did you all find a way to meet together, please tell me you did. Keep posting here or email, I'd come if I could. I was lucky enough to see my sister for 45 minutes today for the first time in over a month.

NanoWrimo is special and keeping connected is like staying in touch with family.

Set a date, post it, and meet. Please do...thinking of you all and miss ya!

Meanwhile, write your little hearts out!
