Okay, so I'm a little late posting this, but I figured I'd throw the idea out there anyway. In the past, a few friends and I have gotten together to give ourselves a little warm up to NaNo, and this year I figured I'd go public and see how many others might want to join in.
The plan? Pick a goal (between 25k-30k is about average), and aim for that during the month of October. It's good to get the writing juices flowing if one hasn't done any writing for a while (*cough* like me... *cough*), and much like NaNo itself, we can cheer each other on, give ourselves some friendly competition.
So, who fancies doing this little warm-up challenge this month?

Phew! I wanted to do this, but I'm swamped with other stuff (preparing for local NaNo stuff and the NaNo Canada Podcast, writing a horror audio play, being crazy). I might set myself a low goal, somewhere around 10K, and do it all in the last couple of weeks in October when I won't be quite so swamped.

Sounds like a good idea, but unfortunatly I'm out. I use October to kinda rest my brain and take a BREAK from writing so that NaNo flows easier.
