Hey guys! I'm at Rowan University full-time, and am looking to kick major ass this year. While I don't have a vehicle to get to write-ins, I figure I might as well bring the WriMos to me!

Would anyone be interested in joining me on campus for a write-in on a Tuesday, Thursday (or really any day! Who needs studying? Not me.) to write?

If you'd be able to come out, please let me know what day of the week will be good for you and how many people you'll be bringing. ASAP is good, as I'll need to book us a room over at the library.

You know you want to!

Best,
Melissa

i'd be up for it... we're usually available every other wed or so, and mondays. tues and thurs are just downright awful though.

rowan is about a mile up the road from us so that'd be awesome to get together so close!

Tuesday, November 3rd is election day and we won't be having classes, if anyone is interested.

How about Thursday, November 12th? Right in the middle of week two hell! We might need one by then. ;)

Jellybelly: Wednesday is honestly the only day I'm swamped--sorry! =(

Let me know, folks!

I'm in high school but I live a few blocks from Rowan. I'm open for any day, starting 7pm or later. Earlier than that would mean that I'd have to skip the family dinner. Which is fine if I do once and a while, but trust me, no one likes me when I'm hungry.

I spoke with the director of the brand-new writing center and she is interested in hosting write-ins. Whether that means the writing center itself, another room in the library, or even the Pit, is up to how many people we can get.
What do you say?

As long is doesn't interfere with my write-ins (or, you know, classes), I will definitely, definitely be there. Thank you a lot for taking to time to talk to someone about hosting write-ins. If you nail down a day (or days) and time, be sure to email me the information so I can put it up on the calendar.

I'd like to attend. Anytime after 5:00 is generally good. Looking forward to hearing specifics. Thanks for doing this.

Let me know when, and as long as it's not a Monday or Wednesday (I'm a copyeditor for The Whit), I'm definitely there, too.

I go to Rowan, and my roommate and I are both doing NaNo again this year. Thursdays are out for us because of Avant, though.

While I don't go to Rowan (and never have), my best friend does and I'm up there often! Keep me updated, because I'd love to attend! :)

I don't often have a time to do stuff outside of work or school, but I go to Rowan and if there is a time that I can go to a write-in, I'll be sure to let you know and definitely show up for some fun time while writing.

I'd be interested in doing Write-Ins. I can't really do Mondays, but I'm free just about every other day (before finding out specific times, that is). Just let me know a specific day/time/place.

I'm interested. I'm actually going to Rowan next semester, hopefully. If I can pass my piano audition, that is (I'm currently at Cumberland County College). Hahah.

Anyway, Tuesday isn't a good day and Thursday is out of the question (I have Chemistry and I already missed one lab due to being sick [and tired of school]). Wednesdays are fine; I can miss a day of concert band and jazz band. Monday and Friday are both great days, and there's always the weekends.

But yeah, I'll be checking up to see how this goes. Hopefully I can make this one.

From Rowan Student Daily Mail today:

7. National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo)

NaNoWriMo is upon us http://www.nanowrimo.org/eng/whatisnano. The Rowan Writing Center is sponsoring four evening write-ins, November 1, 6, 20, and 30 to help you get it done. The write-ins are an opportunity to work with other writers who are also writing novels in November. Need more information? Visit http://www.nanowrimo.org/eng/whatisnano then contact the Writing Center at writingcenter@rowan.edu .

Our first gathering is Sunday, November 1st at 6:00 p.m. at the Writing Center, 4th floor of Campbell Library. Bring your lap tops, notebooks, or outlines and let's get started!

Any idea of this is for Rowan students only? Thanks!

I've emailed the Writing Center asking them just that question, BuzCranne! Along with a bunch of other things I need to know so I can put them on the calendar. The second I get an email back, you'll know!

EDIT: Non-students are indeed allowed! There will be an official write-in post with a lot of other information going up soon.
