Getting a few challenges out for this year's word war. Including copy of letters here:

Quote:
Hey coderster, I noticed you were looking for a word war with a similarly matched region. Well, I'm thinking we just might be the right size for a head-to-head. Last year it was all-new for the Canada::Ontario::Sudbury region, so it's about the same for experience too. Here's what I'm thinking:

Possible terms:

Winner is the team with two of three of the following:

* Most words as a region
* Most words per member
* Most words top 10 members

Winning team chooses a song for the losing team's ML (and any volunteers) to sing & record for the viewing of the winning team.

Let me know if you have a counter-offer, or if you'd like to do any other sort of challenge.

Just got the reply:

Quote:
Hi there!

Sorry it took me so long to reply. I'll accept your offer, with one condition: I'm an alto, please keep that in mind if it comes down to you choosing the song.

And on that note, we'll take requests in to consideration for what song you'll be singing come December 1st.

-JessAnn.

Looks like its on folks. Feel free to hop on over to NY Southern Tier and get any taunts in, but I'm relying on everyone to keep me from having to sing on video for NY to laugh at. I know we can do it.

The wonderful people of NY Southern Tier have setup a handy little chart to keep track of the head to head for our groups. There are still a couple of bugs to work out, but we're doing really well at the moment. Check it out:

Anyone have any suggestions about what song to have coderster sing when the month is up? Or should we come up with a medly for her? Anyone so far ahead (or behind) that they want to compose a song for her to sing?

So? Anyone have song suggestions?

I'm thinking "Boom Boom" by Venga Boys... Or maybe we should go easy and just get her to sing "O Canada"... Other options?

Really I want them to sing about their defeat but all I can think of are victory songs. "We are the Champions." "too Sexy" "Can't touch this". I thought about maybe altering the words of a song like one of those, but i wouldn't want them to revert back to the original lyrics, wouldn't be as funny for us.

Hamster dance. And their must be dancing. I think that is sufficiency embarrassing.
