Buenas Dias/Good morning,
Apologies for the rudeness of posting in English but my Spanish is not up to the task of writing this post.
I'm an English speaking Nano working in Northern Spain looking for online writing buddies for Nano. I know most people will be writing in Spanish, but just wanted to know if anyone was willing to chat a bit in English during Nano!
Gracias,
Kathryn

Good evening!
As most of the peeps in this forum I'll be writing in Spanish but you can add me as buddy and we can chat in English whenever you need to.
I don't dare to write a 50.000 first draft in one month in English but I may try for a small chapter book without the pressure of NaNo just to show me I can :)
Hope to be of help.
Anna

Hi!!
I'm an Erasmus student (studying for the whole academic year in la Comunidad Valenciana) and I'm not writing my Nano in Spanish either (it is good enough for me to read and understand it, but my writing and spoken Spanish need some practice ;). Actually I'm writing in French, but you still can add me as buddy and we could chat in English during Nano.
See you around!

I'm a long-time ex-pat writing in English who was too terrified last year, my first NaNoWriMo, to do anything other than peek at a few posts now and then. Since I managed to "win" anyway, I'll try for some greater sociability this time around.
Happy to be back in the starting block for this year, still without a clue, never mind an outline, but looking forward to having a wonderful time!

Buenos días!
I'm in Spain and Spanish is my first language, but I'm going to do this (my first NaNo) in English (for some reason, I seem to write faster and easier in English than in Spanish).
I'm going to need encouragement and online buddies too, for sure, so count me in!
De nada,
Adelaida

Greetings to every Nano writer here in Spain.
I'm an Irish teacherwriter/storyteller living and working part-time in Madrid.
I love travelling around rural Spain in particular but any part of Spain is good.
I would like to link up with other Nanos to share ideas, work together or to offer
help if needed.

Hello! I'm an American student studying for the semester in Alicante at the University there. Absolutely love it here, it is beautiful. Anyways, it'd be great to have some other people who are in the same boat as me! Anyone want to be Spanish NaNo friends? And, I'm writing in English, although Spain is playing a major role in my novel!
Cheers!

I'm in Granada, for three months, and I'd love to chat with anyone else starting this strange adventure. Not sure how I'll manage to write and learn Spanish at the same time but, here goes...

Hi Kathryn
I'm also going to be writing my novel in English in Spain. I'm in Segovia.
My new job has me working only in the afternoons, and my husband goes to work every morning, leaving me tons of time for writing in peace and quiet. I've never done this NaNo thing before and I don't know what usually goes on, but I'm up for chatting.

Hi!
I'm Ángela, from Barcelona. My first language is Spanish, but I'll be writing in English too. This is my first NaNo, and I don't know how successful I'll be with exams in Week Two, but I thought I had to at least try... especially since I can procrastinate from studying to write.
Good luck everyone!

Hi to everyone here,
This is my first nano, so goodness knows how it will go, but hey, you won't know if you don't try. I'm staying in Spain for a few months and could be running a course from 9th Nov. which will really get in the way of writing, but I'll give it my best shot and see how far I get.
Good luck to everyone!

Hi!
I'm from Barcelona, but I study in the American School of Barcelona, so my English is excellent... I hope. I'll be writing in English. It is my first year doing this so, if you want to chat, I'd be more than glad to share pains if it's also your first time or to listen to the tips of a veteran!

Hi Kathryn and everyone!
It's good to see english speakers in this corner of Nano! Count me in the Able and Willing to Chat in English team. Actually I might be writing in english, because I also seem to be more in tune with the grammar flow. No idea :D
I'm adding you as a buddy if you don't mind!
PS: Props to FRIMMIN for being mad about Spain, lol.

Hola!
I'm from Minnesota, but I'm studying in Pamplona for the year. I decided to give NaNoWriMo a try for the first time this year. I will be writing in English, but I am definitely going to attempt to sneak a little bit of Spanish in somehow as well! That being said, I would be more than happy to be writing buddies and chat in English during Nano.

Hi there!
I'm a spanish girl and I've been thinking about writing my novel in English, but it's my first time doing NaNo and I want to be sure (well, as sure as possible) to finish it.
I'm also living near Barcelona right now, seems there's lots of people around here.
Feel free to add me if you want to chat in English (or in Spanish, or in Catalan, as you wish!) or as a buddy: it's always motivating to know how people around you are doing, and I fear we'll all need somebody to ramble with when we're overloaded with work, studies and NaNo.

Hi there, Nanos!
I'm a venezuelan girl who's been living in Madrid for the last two years and although spanish is my first language, my muse is fixiated on english, so I endulge her :)
This is my first nanowrimo, and 50,000 words shure do seen like an ocena, but I'll do my best :D
Feel free to add me as a buddie, I'l take that liberty too.
---Just wanted to mention to everybody in this thread the huge lack of EUROPE:SPAIN in the contact section.
Should we do something about it?
Would anyone here mind meeting up for a couple of write-a-thons?
Just curious :D

Hi and welcome to NaNo!
I was a little confused about your mentioning there's a lack of Europe::Spain in the contact section - what contact section? Is there another way to contact people than the forums themselves? If so, please point the way and I'll be so there!
We tried to organize a little kick-off in Madrid, but in the end only Luz and I went - just as well, because the very disagreeable man from the bar kicked us out, he said our writing made him nervous... well, that's one bar we won't be gracing with our presence again.
Anyway, there's also a NaNoWriMo Spain group in Facebook, you should join and hang out :-)

Ok, scratch that, I just found the page that you meant. I've looked up the conditions for being ML for Madrid, but it turns out I can't because I haven't won NaNo before :-( So if anyone is up to that, it would be great!
But anyway, like I was saying, we have the Facebook group, we're in contact, so I think organizing some write-ins during the month will not be a problem. Anyone's welcome to start his/her own!
