Another request from me. Surprise, surprise. ;-)
This one's not just for those who've volunteered to help organize events, though - it's for anyone anywhere who wants to get involved in helping spread the NaNo gospel this year.
If you've got a local library, please send them a quick e-mail or give them a call and ask if they'd be willing to put up the fliers advertising NaNo - even if they don't want to allow noveling sessions there, most libraries will have a bulletin board where you could put up a flier. You're welcome to put my contact information on there in addition to what's already there if you don't want to put on your own (my name is Emily and I'm most easily reached at greatbritannia[at]gmail[dot]com).
And if you've got them in your area, the same goes for bookstores, coffee shops, or any local businesses that you think might be interested in helping spread the word. If any of those places have questions you can't answer, refer them to me. (I will provide a phone number on private request, but for obvious reasons don't really want to post it up here...!) I've already put up some fliers at my workplace, and those little info tabs have been disappearing, so clearly there's potential interest just about anywhere.
In case you haven't stumbled across them yet, the fliers: http://www.nanowrimo.org/eng/node/1005807
