Are you out there, by any chance?
You see, I spent my Monday breaks putting up flyers for Nanowrimo all over the school, and I'd like to know if any returning Wrimo happened to see them.
Or if I perchance drafted any newbies. I'm typically too busy to make it to Valpo for the write-ins and I thought it would be nice to get some more local people active, or at least to figure out if they exists.
Hello, I'm Ekhi. The mother of Monsters. I'm a junior in college and have previously won Nanowrimo once out of three attempts. I'm natively from Lowell, Indiana, this is just where I go to school

First of all: good for you, posting flyers! Excellent idea.
Second: I know Lowell is a haul from IUN, but if you were feeling adventurous, you *could* come a little further north and east to Lake Street and my branch library where we are meeting on Mondays from 5:30. (Bats eyes persuasively)
I'm just saying...

I don't go to IUN, but I'm in Hammond. I'd be up for a meet-up; the only catch is that I HAVE to be back home by 9 so my husband can get ready for work, as he works nights.

Newbie here! I came to the website because I saw the flyer in the library near the cafe. I teach at IUN, and thought it would be interesting to try this!
I live in Chesterton, but spend most weekends in Ohio with my family and my husband's family (we're both from Chillicothe, in south central Ohio).

Newbies are always welcomed! -haha, guess the title should include TEACHERS too huh, Ekhi?
The Social_Stigma here, sociology major (who would have guessed) and Ekhi's fiancee. We shall duel!
We'll be putting paper flyers on the cafe tables next, so if you see anyone handing out flyers say hello.

YES! Victory. A convert! And a teacher at that!
I feel successful. If we get enough people from the area, we really should look into organizing write-ins on campus. Though I do very much appreciate the offer about the library, and will keep it in mind, I'm limited in the car area at the moment (as in...don't really have one...), so I rather have a place to meet that I'm already going to be, you know? (and can have an excuse to be drivien to....)
Welcome to Nanoland, by the way. I hope you like it?

Hello! I had class last night at IUN and saw your flyer! That is why I am now signed up and ready for this madness in November. Thank you for taking the time to spread the word. Without your flyer, I would never have known!
And I'm in Cedar Lake... just a few mins away from Lowell!

Yes! That's two converts! Fantastic, Welcome, welcome!
If anyone brand new to Nano here wants a writing buddy whose been through it before, feel free to friend me. I don't pretend to be an expert, but I made it last year and I know it can be done!
Just beware the forums. They're a fantastic time sink when you have other things to do.

I look forward to maybe having a write-in on campus since I know at least three of the writers participating.
