Hi guys.
It's that time of year again. If you could let me know nominations for the central meeting - and if anyone wants to vollunteer to run any of the 'outlying' meetings, then have at it in this thread ;)

I'm the ML for the region, but I'm happy to hand off meetings to those in areas that are harder for those with little transport/tight time commitments to get to so if you're too far away from Cheltenham to meet up, let me know and I'll see about arranging a co-ml setup.

AND
For those in Cheltenham, let me know if there's a nice place we can meet that has a quiet area, and doesn't turn on music at 10pm so we can chat for those staying out later.
I'm happy to meet up on the Friday, saturday and sunday, and will be running mini write-ins every Wednesday this year at a local coffeeshop, alongside weekend meets with enough interest.

AND
For everyone, there's going to be an irc/java/chatroom channel for our virtual write-ins. So even if we don't all get to meet in person, I've got a great place to hang out, chat and challenge each other.

So, I'm here to serve and support you guys, so let me know what you need/want and I'll do my best to source/provide/locate it :)

I can make it to Gloucester at weekends.

One closer to Dursley would also be appreciated.

Whilst I'm not too familiar with what's available in Cheltenham, I'd love to attend any meet-ups going on there. Just let me know as to the time and place. :) Sorry I can't be of more use in suggesting a place to meet, though!

I'm determined to make the effort to meet up with some of you guys this year. I'm based in Dursley, but I can make Cheltenham or Gloucester too.

I'm in Cheltenham too and I'm also a student. I can make it to Gloucester if I need to but I don't know it very well.

Same here, I'm based in Cheltenham, so anything in that area would be good. I can make it to Gloucestershire in a pinch, but the only thing I remember how to find in that area is Asda, heh.

Votes, PM's and discussion are closing for our first meet venue tonight. So far it looks like it'll be in Cheltenham, though, I'm not ruling out CO-ML's running them in more conveniant places for others, so if you can't make it to Cheltenham (where it looks like I'll be running again this year), then please feel free to chirp up and either ask others if they'll run (and be my contact point for that area) or if you want to do it yourself.

:)

OK - to clarify, because I know this is probably fairly ambiguous. (and I suddenly realised that I was saying the meet was tonight, which wasn't what I meant :))
The meet for Cheltenham will be next Friday after 5pm. Other than that, whenever people are happy to meet and specific suggestions (for Cheltenham) are fine. I usually suggest places like Varsity, or Witherspoons, but if people have other places to suggest, I'd love to check out other places ;)

In general, I could do Tues-Fri evenings in Cheltenham, Gloucester or Stroud, and Sat/Sun/Mon daytimes in/near Stroud (except for, inconveniently, being away some weekends).

If anyone wants me to organise anything, just yell at me ;)

I'm keen on limiting my "writing miles" - I'll pretend it's because I'm a die-hard Green but the truth is I'm just too darn tired/lazy to make much of an effort. As it is I still go to a writing group in Bristol and don't really want to spend more time driving than I do writing! Anyone else up for something closer to Stroud? I've just moved here so I don't know which places would be best for a meet-up, but shout out now if you're interested. Somewhere with excellent hot chocolate and cheap snacks... Power sockets and wifi would be a bonus, but my priority probably lies with the quality of the available cakes.
