I'm your brand new, baby bird of a co-ML.
My name is Jessica in real life, Newsie in this little NaNo world.
Sekitou is the expert. She's been a Municipal Liaison or ML or a "Mel," which is what I like to call us. :D
But, we're both here to help in any way we can.
I've "won" NaNoWriMo twice.
The first time, I was a newlywed and my story was about a newlywed whose new husband dies.
(Don't worry, my hubby is still very much alive and kicking, AND he knows about the novel ;-) )
The second time, I was a alumnae of the NaNo world, and I wrote a little supernatural thriller which I've yet to edit, even a year later.
But I won. I won. I Won!!!!
There's nothing better than those final words, knowing you've a) finished your story and b) done it in at least 50,000 word or more.
If you don't have a story idea, don't worry... as NaNoWriMo is famous for saying.. "No plot, no problem!"
I'm new to the "Mel'ing" of it all but I hope I can encourage you along the way to write that last word AND finish your story.
Whether that last word is the same as the first word and the story is about a robot built by an alien race of ants who want to teach cats how to walk like people. Hey, that's not bad...
um... yes it is.
um... no editing! Just go with it. That's the trick afterall.
Write me or Sekitou with any questions you may have or simply introduce yourself. I'll be posting details on the kick-off party for 2009 shortly as well as details on the LouisvilleNaNo twitter account where you can go for quick updates on all write-ins, happenings, and tips.
Cheers!
Jessica the Newsie

Hi-My name is Chris Egbert and this is my first year. I don't know how to tweet but I think my wife can help me. Don't know what I'm doing but I think that may be the point.
