Are there any other sleep-deprived college students in the area who want to meet up? Anyone go to UH or St. Thomas?

If not...it is your duty to recruit from classes...j/k...although, you could put up some of the flyers from the flyers page on Nano. I'd do that if I had a bulletin board around.

I'm a Lone Star Student, but I've taken a semester off... trying to get that job by freeing up my schedule for them... *headdesk* Money was a bit of a bummer this semester, too... still, it's going to be nice not worrying about studying while NaNoing this year! Last year I had to try to find a balance. This year, though... Watch out World! I'm shooting for 70k, minimum!

I'll probably be hiding in the library at HBU between classes.

Which lonestar campus are you attending?

I guess since you have taken the semester off, that it wasnt you who took my flyer off the english bulletin board. I wish i knew who did, and for what reason.

Yup, sleep-deprived student here!

I'm taking classes at UH (main campus) and I'd be willing to meet up on campus if anyone's interested.

Me too! Well, actually I'm a post-bac taking Comp Sci classes with an eye to getting a Masters ... someday. My bachelor's is in English (Creative Writing, actually), and I get all kinds of weird looks from people who find that out. Nice to know I'm not the only one who's both a writer and a computer geek. =P

Or the writer geek. ^_~

But I think we're on to something with this geek thing. After all, ThinkGeek is sponsoring NaNo this year.

I'm a Lee College-er :) Elementary Education. Between work and school, and *should* find time to write. I'm going to set aside at LEAST an hour a day for writing, that way I can get SOMETHING accomplished :P.

I am amazed that there are so many of us here on the HBU campus! I vote that we should meet up in the Baugh some time. :D I'll be there tomorrow around noon. I'll sit in one of the booths by the windows and have my laptop - white Macbook - out so you can find me if you want.

You say that like there aren't usually 2 or 3 people like that.

Lol, true, and I ended up not being able to make it after all. We should set up a more organized HBU-Nanoer meeting time.

diabeticangel I shall be spending time between classes writing in the Library, most likely that little area on the right when you enter down past teh emergency exit in that little square of seats. So if you ever want to sit and write with me, I will be there with my tablet PC either writing or typing depending on the day.

Maybe I'll pop in one day :) I don't spend a whole whole lot of extra time on-campus, but I'll be in the Library to return a book in the next couple of weeks.

I got all excited & was ready to go "oo! oo! me! me!"

.... but I go to school online. Alas.

I work fulltime during the week & have a two year old; online was the way to go. I used to spend a lot of time at the UH campus before I got my new job; not so much anymore. Oohh well.

I just wanted to rep for all the online peeps in the meantime :D Word.

Hey! I go to St. Thomas and will probably be writing from the library pretty often. If anyone goes there that would be awesome to meet up.

Rice English grad here. Fourth time doing NaNo. Definitely as sleep deprived, if not more, than the undergrads. Willing to meet up with people and cheer people on, if only online! :) Let me know if you'd like to commiserate, ___lightwriter, or any other Rice people.
