Looking for fellow Nano-ers in Aberdeen or on the coast. I just moved to the area and don't know where everything is yet, so it'll be an adventure :)

Is Long Beach past Raymond? (LOL, I don't know WHERE anything is out that way!)
The stormy weather we've been having in Grayland has been great for the journal writing :)
I added both of you to my buddies list. I've never had anyone in my area to be on my list, so I don't know how that works, but cool anyway!

Used to live in Hoquiam, moved out to Ocean Shores, and now live in Aberdeen again. Maybe we should have a Grays Harbor NaNoWriMo meet up some time! :)

A meet up would be fun... I'm thinking of meeting places with WiFi.. The Lighthouse restaurant in Aberdeen and I think the libraries too... Oh and Safeway.
Last year I was working full time, but I had a baby over the summer and choose to stay home after they cut my hours in half... (long story) - Right now I'm a paid full time writer at home. Mostly web content.
I'm going to have to decide on my plot and rearrange my schedule and not play on Facebook so much....
Long beach is past Raymond. Used to be a popular tourist destination 100 yrs ago.
- looking forward to the 1st
- Gotta add buddies. Last years buddies were from Germany and Arizona..

Does anyone know if TOP foods in Aberdeen has wi-fi? That seating area upstairs looks pretty nice other than that, lol.
But, that said, I really don't need wi-fi for a meet up but of course it would be nice for a "write-in".
1st week of Nov is crazy for us schedule-wise but anything after that would be cool.

I don't know about TOP foods. All I really need is power for my old laptop. Then there is Starbucks across the street... hmm coffee...
Hey I got 1700 words down... Too bad they are all plot notes... lol

I'm another beach bum living in Aberdeen. It would be fun to meet some of you. As a suggestion for a meeting place, I'd say the new coffee shop next to the old theater in Aberdeen that is supposedly being remodeled would be a great place for a meet. It has wireless for those who have lap tops and it also has regular coffee and espresso drinks. That gives it a good mark for the caffiene fanatics. It also has background music that I like. It's a mix of different types but is easy listening.
Anyways, if you people want to have a meet then that's my recomendation and it's easy for me to get to on the bus.

I'm treading water out here in the rainy regions! I'm in Aberdeen--not quite the edge of the world, but I can definitely see it from here!
This is my second attempt at NaNoWriMo. Failed miserably the first time around, and fully expect to crash and burn this time as well--due to having very little idea what the heck I want to write about! I know there are a bunch of characters inside my head, struggling to get out, but who they are or what they're doing is a little fuzzier--ok, a lot fuzzier.
I'm always up for getting together with people to swill coffee. That place by the D & R is okay, but I am a little cautious about going there because the first time I went, my daugher & I each had a piece of their pie and stomach cramps all night afterward. The pie was good, the cramps not so much! I kind of like the Popcorn Factory, around the corner and down the street. They do coffee too, and they are nice people. Plus they were there first.
The dining area in TOP Foods is top-notch--best view in town, I'll bet--but not so convenient since the in-store Starbucks closed down (yeah, I know there's another one across the street).
So is anybody still thinking about a get together, or are we just all holed up in our own little dry caves tapping away?

I'm still up for a meet-up, and have Friday and Saturday off this week (although since I work night shift, too early into Friday will have me resembling a zombie). I'm not sure where it could be, but by then I'll have my new netbook, and am up for meeting up somewhere.

I'd be up for it (and our other in-house nano-er as well) if I can get some time. I know where Top Foods is, the other places I really have no idea. If we aren't worried about wi-fi & coffee there are other places we could consider as well...as an odd place to think of, one of the few places I do know...(I've got a kid who just discovered bowling) Rainier Lanes is pretty quiet during the weekdays. I don't think they open until noon though. I'm broke as a joke until tomorrow and even then I'll still be counting pennies...I really don't know if I could even afford Starbucks what with the gas to Aberdeen. Is there some place in the mall maybe? I hadn't been there for years and we went on Monday and it was pretty deserted. Do you think TOP would let us bring in a thermos?? I'd share :) Just bring a cup! LOL.
Just throwing ideas out there. Either Saturday or Friday afternoon would be good with us. Meet up or write in?? Ah...we'd still be there for either one :)
