I am :-) Never been on the IOW during nano before though... let's hope the sea air powers creativity.

Thank you. I'm living in Ryde and working in Sandown, so very much an Easterly focus.
Are there many IOW nano writers?

Aside from the pair of us? Only one more that I know of - but my room-mate might possibly join in, if his uni coursework allows. I live in Ryde too.

So we're few but mighty...

Puts the pressure on, mind. If I fail now I'll be a big factor on dragging down our average.

I'm back!

Oh yes, you knew I would be. And writing about the same two protagonists for the third year running...

In Sandown too, here.

Welcome aboard.

Sooo... Are we meeting up this year? Nano participants tend to be fascinating people* and I find it's always worth meeting them.

*There's no way to say that without being immodest, so I'll just roll with it.

A meet is a VERY good plan. I'm down. And for the next two weeks, I don't work, though I do have some other stuff going on.

Theoretically I'd be in. However my work days include weekends so I expect I'll miss the meets.
Nonetheless, solidarity, brothers.

Do we think we could meet at, say, noon on Saturday the seventh?

In previous years we have often met at The Castel in Newport on the grounds that it's fairly central.

No can do, I'm afraid. Earliest I could get to Newport would be 6ish, and unless your meets are truly epic I think that might be too late :-P
Have fun though.

I see we also have some impressive wordcounts already.... go team IOW.

I could very possibly do noon in Newport on Saturday - OOPS - just remembered - I have no laptop as it is traveling to the US at the moment. DARN! So I#m stuck at home for the next three weeks if it comes to really writing.

Maybe sometime we could all meet here at my place? it is in Ryde, so not totally central, but I would provice plenty of coffee, tea and snacks and there is a very inspiring view of the Solent just outside my window! (And beer also, for later, if anyone can use some of that for inspiration!)

Just an idea. Give me feedback and if it seems a good idea i will arrange something.....

I was afraid of that, Migratory.

Suzanne - well, I know I wouldn't invite a lot of strangers from the 'net to my home without meeting them first (which is odd since everyone I have met IRL from the 'net has been sound as a pound) but if you're comfortable with that then I'm happy to go to Ryde.

How does everyone else feel?

Strangers from the net? You're Nano writers from the Island! And really there are only a few of us, aren't there?

Besides, my Rottweiler, Satan, keeps me feeling pretty safe most of the time.

Aw, doggie.

Anyway - I'm game, though it might be a little late for Saturday.

How does everyone else feel?
