Hello all! This is your ML speaking. Or typing. Whatever. My name is Rosie, or Skatepixie, or Pixie, or Skate, or Evil Overlord, or whatever else you would like to call me. I'm pretty easy going about that. Just don't call me late for the write-in.

Speaking of write-ins, I want to make this as amazing a NaNo as possible. People are already organizing a write-in in Mission Viejo, which is fantastic. Thanks for getting the ball rolling on that one. :-) I'd love to have other events as well, of course. Last year, we had several write-ins each week. Now, because I want this to be the best it can be for all of you, it would be excellent if I could have feed back from you all. I'm hoping to have a Costa Mesa write-in at Brandee's cafe on Harbor and Wilson (it's currently under remodel, but the new owners are geat people). I'd also love to have write-ins in Irvine and San Juan Capistrano. Days and times as well as location are pending, based on your suggestions. Let me know what works for you so that I can figure something out that will work for the group at large.

Kick off, TGIO, halfway party, etc are pending as well, though I am of course open to suggestions.

I'm looking forward to hearing from all of you. :-)

I live in San Clemente, but I would be happy to make my way to San Juan Capistrano to get involved. Maybe a weekend afternoon as I work full time and go to school. This is also my first forum post, so I look forward to meeting everyone.

Hola! I would like to vote for more late night right ins. Stuff at 24 hour dinners and places where we will not get thrown out.

I live in Irvine + Lee's sandwhich shop by UCI was open all night last year, but this year they close at 11:00 PM. Also, Lee's was way to bright and loud to be a good NaNoVenUe.

There is a Donut Star or something on Alton + Jeffery which may be open late as well as the Subway on Culver + Michelson which I will check out before November 1, and report back on their suitability for a late night write in...But I am very interested in other OC Late Night ideas. Thanks, David S

I'll be hosting a kick-off write-in session at midnight on Halloween/November 1st at my school, if anyone is interested. I got one of my friends to do NaNoWriMo this year, and she mentioned it to the head of the English department, so now it's turning into a full-fledged event on campus. Way exciting.

So yeah. Right now, we're trying to reserve a place that we'll be able to keep open all night. I'm hoping to be there from 11:30pm to 9:00am. If anyone is interested in coming, I'll keep you updated. There are plenty of tables/outlets/couches/Wi-Fi, but you will need to bring your own caffeine; the little coffee shop thingy will be closed by then.
