Because the applications have closed, we will not have an official ML for this region this year. However, that doesn't mean we can't nominate some unofficial MLs from amongst ourselves.
I know MDarcy was interested in the position, and I have volunteered to try to organize some write-ins for the campus community of A&M.
Of course, if there are some unofficial MLs, they won't have access to any of the tools that normal MLs have such as list-serves or regional forum privileges, but because the group is fairly small, it probably wouldn't be too hard to communicate via this forum or Facebook or Twitter.
I have taken the liberty of creating a Facebook group so that at least members who are interested in being active will have a way to receive group messages since it's impossible to send them through the NaNo site with ML permissions. I'd make anyone who is interested an admin of the group; just send me either a NaNo message or one of Facebook.
