I would love to go to a write in. The first year (2006) I had a PDA with keyboard and software so I "wrote in" a couple times. I could bring my 24" iMac but that might raise a few eyebrows and earn me an electricity bill. I did take my lovely iMac with me to a convention this summer so I'm ready!
Others could write at my place but my connection is not wireless. I have Clearwire that wires directly into my iMac. There are other wireless neighbors and you might be able to jack into the open ones.
Many thanks to all the solid, hard working and reliable volunteers in this region. I have perennial guilt for not doing more. In my heart I'm with you.
I may show at write-ins anyway because the energy and support are great! So, if you see someone hovering about and watching you type, that's me!

I know how you feel. I don't have a laptop, so I use my Blackberry to write-in. It's not so bad.
