Okay, guys, let's look alive in here!!!! We have THREE WHOLE TOPICS??? Whaaaat?

So, what's your favorite place/establishment to write in Eugene/Lane??

I have a couple different places. I like finding a nook at the Public Library if I really need some serious peace and quiet. XD If I want some busyness in the background, I like Borders at Oakway Center or the Starbucks downtown by Smith Family bookstore.

The library has been a pretty successful place for me, especially the year that I lived with a woman who did nothing but watch reality television from 5 to bedtime every night. Something about it makes me focus right in and pound out a couple thousand words.

In order to keep writing, I enjoy many changes of scenery, so I have not one but many favorite writing spots around Eugene. The first is my office at home, filled with my favorite books and images of my favorite characters to inspire me. When that's not working, I like 5th St. Market, Allan Bros. Coffee (on 5th or Hillyard), the public library, Cafe Roma, Gary's Coffee, or even the EMU on the U of O campus. Pretty much any place with tea/coffee and an outlet will do, but I prefer local places to chains. Hope you all find good spots to pound out the words this year.

Home is my favorite place. I think for a change of scene though I'll try Barry's in the Southtowne Shops and maybe Market of Choice off 29th (yes a supermarket with a writing space!).

I like places where I work, oddly enough.

I work at Southtowne Lanes on Willamette and allan Bros. on 5th. Both have some outlets, coffee, food and atmosphere. Also very friendly staff! Also it is only 2.50 for a whole pot of tea at allan bros. Which is killer! Wandering Goat is a nice atmosphere too. Writing at home is always nice too, if I've cleaned it.

I live in the Rogue Valley but was in Eugene a couple weeks ago. Skinner Butte seems like a fantastic spot if you're in a car... in rainy weather... the glow of the city... perhaps some hot coffee... few chills up the spine... just remember to work on power saver mode or bring a back-up battery supply LOL..
