Hi guys!
We have to make some plans soon, the month is flying by.
So, I'm thinking the fourth weekend for the kick-off party, so everyone can meet without the pressure of a writing session in front of them, maybe for a couple hours at some place. And I'm remembering there is a new restaurant in the Valley Square Shopping Center that is a FONDUE restaurant.
I'm thinking this could be a little fun.
I know we have heard from 3-4 high school students, and a couple college students, and money isn't exactly plentiful around anyways, so I'm also thinking of a little home made option here.
1. Meet at the Fondue restaurant for a little dipping in cheesy goodness. (and chocolatey goodness, cause they must have chocolate, right?)
or
2. Have a potluck kind of thing, where everyone brings something and we have a meet and greet somewhere. The Wegman's would be good for this, with the upstairs eating area.
I'm thinking Saturday late afternoon for this. Say, around 4pm to 6pm?
Alternate day is Sunday the 25th, either early afternoon or evening, but I'm not available between four and seven on Sundays.
Let me which place and what day/time, please, so I can make some plans.

ps: Parking at Wegman's can be a little tight sometimes. I have never been there when they aren't busy, and often on weekends, they are packed. Plan on getting a little bit of excercise there.
10/10 edit: Sunday, the 25th at Wegmans. Please let me know what you will be bringing (even if just a general category, ie desert, salad, etc.)
Wegman's is in the Valley Square Shopping Center, which is on Street Road just east of Rt 611. For anyone who has not been there, Wegman's has a "Restaurant" portion, where you can buy food and drink, and an upstairs seating area separate from the shopping area. So if you don't cook, you can always pop down stairs and buy something. There are also microwaves for anything that needs heating up.

I think a potluck at Wegman's is the best idea out of the two! I'm more likely available on Sundays, but Saturdays might work too. I just realized that it'd be during November, which is after the marching band season, so it's likely I won't have any competitions then.

Err, potluck would probably be a better idea because fondue is really expensive, generally (and if it's the Melting Pot then it's DEFINITELY expensive--I went there once before, but not around here) and I'm not sure I can get the money from my parents. But I can definitely make brownies or something. Or even bagels, which are soooooooooo fun to make. :D

Prominence12, both places are in the Valley Square Shopping Center which is at the corner of Street Road and Rt 611 in Warrington.

Melting Pot is unbelievably expensive.
I'm all for my second home called Wegmans. (I work about 3 miles away in Warminster, and at least once a week I'm at Borders and Wegmans).
I think either day is fine with me. I need to check though.

Sounds like Sunday, November 14th is the best day, more people are available then.
And I'm hearing that a potluck at Wegman's is a very good idea. :)
I have a crockpot, so I can make up something hot. Franks & beans or Franks & Sauerkraut? Or maybe Sausage and Sauerkraut? (I prefer sausages to hot dogs, but not with beans. LOL)
Or Meatballs in sauce. hm...
or Chili since it's October and presumably the hot days are over.
Anyway, if you all let me know what you plan on bringing, I'll compile a list. I'm thinking a late get together, actually, since a couple of you seem to work during the afternoon. How's 2pm? I'm thinking afternoon, because we have several high school age writers who have already chimed in and might have a problem with a later time.

Naw, don't worry. We don't bite much. :F That looks and sounds really good, actually. I think I'll probably bring Israeli salad, because we need some sort of healthy food at this thing.
