So, anyone else attending the University of the South or lives in the area? I'm a freshman at Sewanee this year, and this is my second time doing NaNo, though I failed miserably last year.

I go to Sewanee! I'm really excited about participating in NaNoWriMo this year.

Hey, it's good to finally see a post from someone. Well, I'm looking forward to it this year, though I'm not completely sure I'd be able to finish. Got some more research to do on my Italian Renaissance fantasy. I was thinking about printing off some of those NaNo posters and putting them around campus. Maybe starting like a group or something if we get enough people. What do you think? Also, is this your first year doing NaNo and do you have an idea yet?

That would be fun. My roommate and I thought about forming a group, but we decided that we should see how we do first. Putting up posters would be cool, though. I could ask The Mountain Goat (the lit mag) about sponsoring a group. I'm copy editor.
It's my first time doing NaNoWriMo. I have an idea: Beauty and the Beast with the framework of Theseus and the Minotaur. I still don't know the setting or any of the character names yet, just the general plotline. I have a moleskine notebook that I'm using to jot down ideas.
