We needed a new thread since the forums were wiped for the new year, so I made another. :)

Were we thinking of all trying to meet up sometime this month, so all of us can meet each other at the same time before November?

What about us APU students? We're practically of the same breed (but slightly more exclusive)! ;)

I'm not sure where. :/ But we really should start sorting that out. I want to get everyone all in one spot at one time! I know in the previous thread, before the switchover, there were about four of us, and two of them ran into each other and I met one in UAA's new science building, but we never ALL came together.

I've only got the one break on campus Kass (I was going to call you Cassiopeia, but opted against it, by the by), but I like the idea of meeting up soon. What days are best for you all? Mond/Wed are my best, but I may be able to work something on another day (probably not, though, alas).

Monday/Wednesdays are by far the worst days to try to meet me. It'd either have to be for thirty minutes from 10-1030 or for however long after 3. Tuesday/Thursdays work better for me. Where would we meet? Consortium library? That's basically the only place on campus that's common to both of us.

What about putting up one of those surveymonkey things that all UAA students can go into and put down when they are free, and then pick when the most are able and maybe others can set up other times and over time meet everyone else? That was what my research professor did in order to get us all a workable meeting time....just a bit of a thought.

Hmm, I don't think I have used one of those yet, or heard of them (I'm a first semester freshman, so it's not totally weird) but that sounds like a good idea.

UAA staff here too...

But I'm unlikely to get to meetings on campus, because I'm on campus to work.

(Except my lunchtimes, but hey -- close my office door, computer handy -- no need to lug laptop here....)

All the same, a big hey to UAA and APU students in NaNoWriMo! I'm in the Justice Center 2nd floor of the Consortium Library, if any of you have occasion to (briefly, since I'm working) stop in to say hey.

The meeting up and everything? Unless there's some restriction that I don't know about, yeah, it's for all UAA students (and anyone who goes to APU as well).

I'm new to NaNo this year, and also new to APU. I'd love to meet up with some fellow writers. My schedule is kind of up in the air, but I'm sure I'll be able to work something out.

Maybe anyone who plans on sitting down anywhere and time specifically can just post it and anyone else can join.... I know that since I work at the University Center part of UAA I will be hanging out there, probably in the hallway or over in the nice comfy seats near the UAA coffeeshop/bookstore entrance during my long lunch hours on Mondays (1:30-4:30pm) and Tuesdays (12:30-4pm) and earlish Saturdays (11am-2pm). I will also end up spending my Fridays at either Jitters in Eagle River, or Barnes & Noble in Anchorage, all depending on what I have going on or how much energy I have to get up and play PeopleMover games in and out of town. Now that I know there are flyers to mark NaNoWriers, I'll put one of those up wherever I am just for kicks :)

Would anyone be interested in meeting up on Fridays at the UAA/APU Consortium Library to do a "writing group"?
