AkronNanNos
We've scheduled write-ins for Wednsedays but a few veteran AkronNaNos are wondering if another night would be more convenient. We're a democracy here so let's take a vote.
Tuesday or Wednesday?
Remember, write-ins are optional but highly motivational. We could use the cliche that misery loves company but we're prefer to say that creativity loves company. There's a special kind of energy (and a touch of insanity) surrounding a group a writers who are tap-tap-tapping and scratch-scratch-scratching out their words together.
Also, write-ins are different from meetups. We'll schedule of couple of those which will be purely for fun and for forgetting about word counts.

Well... I don't know how much I'll be joining you for write-ins/meet-ups but if it's between Tuesday and Wednesday, then I HAVE to vote for Wednesday. Tuesday is NOT an option for me.

I'm not sure. I'm starting an internship as well as attempting to find a job (Hello Wal-Mart!). What do you think of the time we would get together?

Just a thought-- When I took on the Akron region last year, I did it at the last minute and knew I wouldn't be able to accomodate everyone's schedule in planning. I had a couple of the other Wrimos (CBair and GothamGal) set up their own write-ins that fit their schedule and location a little better and it was a god-send to me. Akron's a big city! Having them take on some of the write-ins worked well, I think, in that it gave just about everyone a chance to attend something, somewhere. Plus, we had a bunch of impromptu write-ins throughout the month if someone just happened to be sitting in Panera and writing for a while. Twitter helped out a whole lot in that respect, to get the word out.
So if the Write-Ins that Amy and Shannon set up don't work for you, it might be beneficial to others to volunteer to head up a write-in at a time and/or location that does. You never know who is lurking in the forums just waiting for the right meet up to come out!

Mmmm okay. I hope you understand that my personal concern is gas! Especially since I'll be going to downtown for my internship.
Is anyone near the Twinsburg/Solon area by chance? Maybe we can do the occasional write-in there.
I love write-ins and I really want to attend.

I'm find on any night but Monday. My earliest availability is 6:30, but I can do 6 if I rush it! I also have Skype, so I can vid in, if needed on other nights! I may even load up my UStream channel and have a dedicated nightly time to be available (it has video and chat). I really want to participate this year, since this is the first year I can feel my daughter is old enough to handle herself for a few hours while I participate in write-in and also really be a part of AkroWriMo! Plus, I'm an excellent cheerleader! When my sanga (community) is pumped-up and productive...I can feed off of that collective energy!
