A place for the Northshore Teens to chill, and discuss how we're possibly going to do this with school :)

My advice is...write, write, WRITE! The number 1667 will become a very important number to you over the course of November. That is how many words you must average to reach 50,000 by the end of the month. But when the mood seizes you and you can write more than 1667, then write over that amount any chance you can get, even if you feel like what you're writing isn't all that good. It will become like a cushion for you in case you get sick or homework gets in the way and you have to back off of Nanowrimo for any reason.

The Teen Loft Librarian at Newburyport Public Library is holding NaNo meetings for teens in grades 7-12. You don't have to live in Newburyport to attend.

See Andrea for more info.

Anyone who goes to Masco and happens to be lurking here...we're putting together an unofficial group of awesome for the duration of NaNo! We're gonna meet after school near Java this Friday (the 23rd) just to see who's cool enough to show up. So do that! Be not shy! :D

Hey guys! This is Michele, your North Shore ML!

Were are you kids located? How many of your friends are doing NaNo this year? Do your English Teachers know? Are they offerring any support? Let me know how i can be of assistance. If any of you in the lower North Shore (Chelsea, Everett, Lynn, Revere, Eastie) areas would like to try and organize write in's at your school afterhours but want help trying to talk to your school administrators about it.... I'm your gal!

Hope to talk to you all soon!

Michele

Yes we are! Masco kids: write-ins. Friday afternoons right after school. Either in Java or the Library, depending on what's more convenient. Tell your friends. XD

Doesn't matter. You're doing your part toward the regional word count. You're ahead of *me*.
