Hey All
RSVP's are gradually coming in for the first over night of the NANOWrimo season. The doors will be opened at 1030 and we will kick at midnight. The location has a number of different typesof tables and chairs so getting there early will ensure that you get the seat that you want. Also it is a great opportunity to hang out with fellow Writers before we all settle down to work.
Since it worked so well last year we are asking that everyone bring some Halloween candy to share with the group.

I has a bag o' candy and a tray of cookies made lovingly by Gramma Safeway because I didn't really have time to make anything myself. I'm ostensibly housecleaning today, as it's the first 'free' day I've had in weeks where I haven't been having major freakouts about something I forgot in the bedlam that is my life. I've made some progress, but I doubt it will be as much as I might like... that's the perfectionist having one last gasp before November, I think.
And yes, I'll email you. Ungh - I told you verbally but I totally forgot and I know how much *I* hate that... bad witch, no biscuit...

Question for those with laptops and netbooks. How do I connect to the wireless network. I did a search from mine and it found "home", but it told me I needed a key to use the secure network. I'm assuming this is our MTS internet, but I'm not sure how to find this key they are talking about. I would much rather use this secure network - at least from home. I've always been plugged in - help.

Just a quick reminder the next R.N.W.S. Over night wrtie out is this coming friday night. Last time out the group of us combine wrote a Nano Novel in a night. I'm sure this time we'll do so much more, if the pattern holds true to last year.
Please remember to bring a Tin for the Bin and come out and have a good time. We do have plenty of space an lots of electrical power for laptops. The doors open at 8 o'clock and will go until the buses start running in the morning.

Once again my plans to make an all-nighter have been slapped down by real life. One of my dogs got attacked by another dog on Saturday and bitten. By the time Monday rolled around he had a raging infection and fever. I felt guilty just leaving DH to dog sit while I went to the write-in for an hour. The wound has to stay open until the infection clears - we get to make sure he leaves it alone. I'm planning to be at the Mid month for an hour or so - see some of you there.

Quick up date from the last over night write out.
We had 10 people up on the board and a total word output of 65,623 averaging 6562 words each for the night.
The next and last RNWS write out is November 27th. If last year is any indication this will be the big one with a lot of word wars, and some pretty high word counts. I know last year a number of us broke the 50k mark that night.
As a group we discussed what we should do for that night and we decided that in order pump up the NANOWrimo donations from Winnipeg we would ask for a minimum $5 dollar donation to attend the Write out. If you can do more it is welcome and anything over $10 will include your user name so you can get the Halo. The exception to this is the people who already have Donation Halo, you're welcome to come on in without a donation.
Hope to see everyone out there, remember to invite your friends spread the word.

I'm always there (and will be on Friday, additionally), and have decided that I will outdo myself and bake two different types of cookies. First, those amazing chocolate deliciousnessessesseses from last time, and secondly some jam-filled things that sound incredibly difficult, but incredibly rewarding. <3 Please eat them all because my rear end and hips do not need any extra padding, even if it is delicious.
