Hi, my name's Chris and this is my seciond year doing nano. There are all these regions for the other universities but none for IPFW! I'm hoping I'm not the only one, so say hello here if you're a student at IPFW.

Hi there! I am also from IPFW. I am in the Northern Indiana region right now, but I am glad that I checked into this to see if there were any other stragglers from Fort Wayne. What luck. =)

Yay! I'm glad there's someone else! I'd like to setup some nano meetings sometime at IPFW if you're interested.
I had more luck finding Fort Wayne people in the Elsewhere group than the North group, so that's why I posted here.

Oh how exciting finally some people that are doing this from IPFW. I was thinking about maybe tossing out word to some of the creative writing profs to see if they could mention anything. I don't reallyknow what your two schedules are, but I am only at IPFW on Tuesdays and Thursdays and all my classes are over by 2:45. Any other day I am at work instead of on campus and I am a bit of a distance away.
What days/places would work for the best for you two?

I'm on campus monday - friday but I don't get out of class till 6 :( I'm sure we can figure something out.
I was thinking of printing off some of the nano flyers and posting them around the buildings. Maybe we could get together and do it as a team or something, at least get a chance to meet each other.

Friday after 2:30 works for me. I only have one class in Neff on Friday.

I hope I can be counted in. I was in the Northern Indiana Region last year and just decided to switch to here. The Northern Indiana Region is mainly for people living in Eastern Chicago's metropolitan area anyway.
Anyway, this is my second year doing NaNoWriMo and I'm hoping to go further than just 50,000 words in one month. ^_^
I'm on campus on Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday in the evenings. Saturday and Sunday in the mornings and afternoon.

Hello. I'm a third year participant. I'm still looking to reach the goal of 50,000. Last year, I wrote a book that was just under the word count. I still feel awesome about it though. I finished.
Anyways, I'm on campus Mon-Fri. I'd be interested in write-ins or just meet and greets.

Ok,
Based on the replies to all threads in our area, Ripter and I have decided on some times. All meetup and write-ins will be posted publicly via the ML as well as on the Ft.Wayne Meetups/Write-Ins thread. I will post the first round of meets and writes on the FW Intro thread, too, but from now on, they will only be posted here and on the FW thread.
Here are the scheduled meetups and write-ins thus far in Ft. Wayne:
Location:
Barnes & Noble- Jefferson Pt Location
4140 W. Jefferson Blvd. Bldg. J
Ft. Wayne, IN 46804
Meetup- Saturday, October 31st 10:00-11:30 am (Costumes optional!)*
Write-In- Friday, November 6th 6:00-7:30 pm*
Write-In Saturday, November 7th 10:00-11:30 am*
Like I said, all will be at B&N, probably in the cafe, closest to the coffee. =) There will be a sign on one of the tables that says in big letters, "WRITE-IN"
Thanks, and we hope to see you all there!
*Meetup times are extremely flexible. Come anytime and leave whenever you want. The times above are the guaranteed times when either Ripter or I will be there.

(Also posted on Fort Wayne thread; placed here for those who missed it.)
Might seem a bit far, but I used to commute to Fort Wayne, so here goes: You're welcome to join the folks in Marion/Grant County for any of our events. If you're from the south side, it's probably around 45 minutes. If you're from Huntington, Berne, Warren, etc., it's a little over a half hour.
I'm setting at least a third of our events at businesses off of I-69 to make it easier for people from adjoining regions to join us.
We'll have our kickoff and some write-ins at Payne's and the Gas City Starbucks, which are at Exit 59 off of I-69. See Marion post for details.

Just a reminder to all those coming to the meet-up tomorrow:
We will be gathering in the cafe at 10am. I will hopefully have a sign standing on a table, with several other tables pulled together so everyone can sit in the same area.
Goals of the meet-up are pretty basic: meet and greet other area Wrimos and talk about our novels, of course! Bring a friend who is willing to take the plunge with you, or who will just be part of your support system! I cannot promise any free food or drink, but there is a lovely array of coffee and goodies offered for purchase in the cafe. =)
Hope to see you there, and if you have any last minute questions, nanomail me and I will try to answer in a timely fashion!
Again, costumes are encouraged, but not required! Dress as your favorite writer or character, or just be yourself!
Until tomorrow,
Jenni

Hi all!
I will be hosting write-ins at the Pontiac Branch of the Allen County Public Library (the Hanna-Creighton campus, next to the Urban League) each Saturday of the month from 10-noon and 3-6 pm. Laptops (about 12?) will be provided. Please join us! We'll meet in the meeting room! For more info, give me a call at 421-1350.

Just a reminder to keep checking the ML page for local meetups and write-ins! The next one will be tomorrow at 6:00! There will be a sign in the cafe for those who are too meek to ask random strangers. We had a great turnout last week, and more are always welcome!
Hope to see you there!

A reminder to all those in Ft. Wayne that the next Barnes & Noble write-in is tomorrow at 6 pm!
If anyone is having trouble finding the location, please nanomail me immediately! I will be there about a half hour early with my internet running, and can guide you to the right location. If you do not have access to a laptop, you are still encouraged to come, because there is nothing like bouncing ideas off other writers to increase your word count! Bring a regular old notebook, and join us!
If you can't make it on Friday, please feel free to come Saturday morning! We begin at 10 and usually stay until a little after 1 pm. You don't have to come on time to take advantage of this great opportunity. Simply nanomail me the time you can make it, and I will make sure we have space for you!
Hope to see you all there!

Hey! I am not going to be able to make it. I am actually being a traitor and doing a Nano Meetup in West Lafayette on Sunday. Bwaha. But anyways I will be there in spirit and rest assured that me and my florist are carrying on.

Good Morning!
Just another reminder that the next meet-up for Ft. Wayne is tomorrow at 6! Hope to see everyone there! Remember, everyone is welcome, even those of you who have never come out to one before! We are very nice people. =)
And if you can't come out tomorrow night, then new members are always welcome to come to the Saturday morning write-in at 10 am! Bring a notebook, laptop, typewriter, alphasmart, whatever floats your boat! We are here for you. =)
Remember all meetings are scheduled to take place at the Jefferson Pointe Barnes & Noble cafe.
Hope to see you there!
