Hi Jason- and hello everyone-

In the past I've been the CL. Community Laison, such an odd term. I'll probably be back to organize things again in another year. I'm not taking up the mantle this year, as my husband died a few months ago and I'm still grieving intensely.

However, Grief or not, that doesn't mean I'm not up for a cheery meet up.

Anyone know the new Equinox Diner off the Mystic main exit?? Great place, big tables, great coffee, and excellent fried mozzerella sticks.

I'm doing the online Muse conference this week, but I'm up for a evening meet-greet- talk about writing some evening.

Anyone got suggestions to meet???

Hi Marie - I am a 6 year resident of Cape Cod, who returned to CT last year.

Oooooo Mozzarella sticks *yummy*!

I would be interested in meeting up with locals, as well I don't know anyone in CT, and this is my first year NaNo-ing.

Look forward to chatting with you all.

Norwich is a good hour away for me -- is anyone interested in meeting farther north, in the area of Storrs, Tolland, Stafford, Vernon, Ellington, or Manchester? If so, I could put together some write-ins.

I would definitely be interested in meeting up in Storrs, Tolland, Mansfield area. Unfortunately, I am currently at college, two hours away from home. However, if something was to be planned on a weekend, I could try to get home for it.

Hi all!
I'm in East Hartford, so I would definitely be up for meeting in the Manchester area. Just let me know! I don't mind travelling a little, but my work schedule makes things a little tricky (I work mostly nights and weekends).
I'm a little nervous - first timer here. But I'm keeping my fingers crossed!

I will be posting some write-ins in the area around Manchester, Vernon, Ellington, Tolland, Storrs, and Stafford. I'll vary times of day and days of the week, so that people with different work and school schedules can attend. These will be very casual -- just get together and write like demons.

Hi Jennifer!
Lauri from Coventry here!

I could arrange to host a get together at the public library in Coventry for anyone interested. We have wireless access there and I have a few extra laptops for anyone who doesn't have their own.
Let me know if anyone would be interested.

I'm near Coventry. And, if the stress got to be just too much, we could always have a beer at the Bidwell Tavern afterward. For professional reasons only, of course.

Give me the date and time, and I'll post it on Meetup.com, too, under the Hartford Area Writers group.

Hey Lauri *waves*

Coventry lib. would be great and since my laptop is dead I'd love to borrow one for the event.

Keep us posted.

I'd be intersted in a meeting in that area -- particularly Ellington, Manchester or Vernon, but any of those towns.

I can use the library on Saturday November 14th. Let's say 1-3pm. That way I get to sleep in! LOL
There is a quiet community room we can use. Bring a laptop if you can. If not there are 4 that can be borrowed. Contact me directly if you need one and I will reserve them. I have JasonG down for one now.

I will put up signs at the library too and see if I can get some locals involved.

Lauri I love the banner and think that I may have contacted you on one of those online dating sites - God, I'm glad I never got a response as I wouldn't want to end up in that book lol

Thanks for the hold btw, and getting it set up for us.

hey, all!

this is my first year out.
i am currently, however, still stalled on the process of determining the region that i can accurately call home.
(because that is, obviously, the most important part of this whole endeavor. haha.)

i live in south windsor, just a stone's throw from the buckland hills mall in manchester...

The Connecticut: North region posts events in this area. There's one on Sunday at B & N in the mall. I've posted some of them on Meetup.com, for those who haven't yet signed up at NaNoWriMo and/or don't use the boards here.

I'm down for the Otis library meeting in Norwich. It's walking distance from my house. :D Which is super-exciting for me, because I've never been able to attend a write-in before... yay!

I'm Ami, btw. Finished NaNo last year, looking forward to driving myself crazy for a month again!

Hi all. I'm down for the Norwich meeting. Norwich resident here as well, and it's good to see my hometown represented. I'm Dave, and I'll see you all there.

Hihi! I am in Niantic. I completed two NanoWrimos so far, and I'm looking forward to using this third time to write a book worth editing and publishing.

I'd be up for a meet-up some time! :)

Who is hosting this event? Can I bring anything? I don't know for certain I can come, but I will try to be there.
Matt

PS do you know any groups of students in the area who are participating through the YWP? I'm a HS teacher looking to get my group together with others.

I'm also in East Hartford and also brand new to Nano as well as new to fiction! Looks like there are a few of us looking for meet-ups in the Manchester/Vernon area. I was late coming in so I missed that first meet at Borders and as far as I can see, there's nothing else scheduled in this area. Am I missing something?

We (North Connecticut) region meet in Manchester often. I post these write-ins, along with some additional, non-official write-ins, on my local writers' Meetup group: http://www.meetup.com/Getting-the-book-done/
