First person there leaves a note on the dry erase board on the ground floor.

If I'm there (I'll try to be), there'll be signs. If not....

The more I think about it, the more I realize that studying for my midterms will NOT happen if I go to the meeting tonight. I have two midterms tomorrow morning. I'm not that worried about Japanese...but I AM worried about People and Animals/Anthropology. So I'm going to opt out of meeting you guys tonight so I can focus on studying for that. I AM SO SORRY~

Is there a meeting tonight? Or is this just Tuesdays in November?
Also, I've never been to a NaNoWriMo meeting before. You guys don't mind having a n00b there, do you? xD

Yes, we're getting ready in October (I say we, but in fact I was only at one Saturday meeting so far - but we in the grand sense) - for me, going to the one Saturday meeting I went to was great because it just got me into the zone.

Everybody was a newbie once. (I, for instance, was a newbie last year.)

I'm not sure I can come tonight - having some health things. Hope to see you all there, though (hope, hope).

We can do whatever we want! Don't know what they did last time but possibilities include:
- sit and think and write about our own issues with our upcoming novel (characters, plot, outline, names, issues, whatever!!!)
- talk to each other about the above, or other issues
- any combination of the above?!

I think I'm coming too, by the way.

Meeting already now. I think the Wells library is what used to be called the Main Library. It's on Jordan just below 10th Street basically.

Last night there were three of us, a different three apparently from the week before. And also meeting Saturdays at 4 p.m. at the Barnes and Noble Starbucks and it sounds as though last week, anyway, they all went out afterwards and had lots of fun!

Myself personally, I'm glad about the two October meetings I've been to so far because it's got me started getting my head into the place of thinking about the writing, where I would otherwise absolutely not be.

Hiya! I normally bring the signs and my sorry little self, but I've got a midterm Tuesday. It'll be the same place, assuming people come. And to answer the questions: yes, it's every Tuesday until the end of November. Probably nothing in December, because I intend to be off quietly carousing on December 1, it being the day after NaNo and the advent of my 19th year.

If you plan to come Tuesday the 20th, go ahead and post so y'all can find each other.

OK, so I got confuddled on when my midterm was. I'll be there, with the signs. I don't know about you, but I'm bringing a story I have to have revised ASAP. Like, in the next few days or sooner.

I also went and looked on the 4th and 5th floors but didn't see anyone. I don't think I did, anyway. Granted, I was 15 minutes late (oops).

Ooh, sorry about that. There's a group of five of us near the far right corner of the 5th floor. We have a sign by us, but it's not very obvious, and I put my only other sign on the 4th floor to tell you where we were.

I can't make the Tuesday meetings. I could probably make at least one of the Saturday meetings though. (Says the girl who has tried and failed that every year so far...)

Being the week before Nano, I'm assuming there will be a meeting tomorrow night? I'm not very familiar with campus nor the library, so I fully expect to be late after finding a parking spot and wandering around the library lost.

Directions: find the library--the one with the really big towers. Go up the big steps, either side. Find the West Tower--the short one with all the computers and not many books--and head in. The elevators will be on your right, and there will also be a whiteboard there. If the whiteboard has "NaNoWriMo 4/5th floor," I'm already there. Go up the elevator the 4/5th floor, where you should see a sign that says "NaNoWriMo ->->->." There will be a "NaNoWriMo" sign taped either above or to the edge of a table, and at least one person there. If that person is wearing a long skirt, it's me.

Hey I'm so sorry I didn't come. I had to help decorate my floor's lounge for this Halloween event. I knew I wouldn't be able to come and I forgot to let you all know. So sorry about that.

And to be honest, I don't think I'm ever gonna be able to make the Tuesday meetings. I go to the Saturday ones, but that's about all I can spare. Sorry.

Hey everyone. I'm actually a freshman hear, but I have been attempting nano since 2007. I have to work Tuesdays (at the wells library) 6-9 pm. could i possibly join y'all on saturdays? I work then too, but only 10-1

I hope to be at the Library this Tuesday. Barring some sort of disaster, I have babysitting covered and should be able to come out and play for a few hours. What floor are we meeting on again?

ps. Written Dreams, I just showed up at Barnes and Nobles last week. Everyone was very welcoming. I, for one, promise not to bite.

I should have known better than to get my hopes up for this evening. I encountered resistance to the idea of me escaping for a few hours... (ie, my kids have been holy terrors today and husband was late getting home.) Will try an escape attempt again on Saturday.

I would like to try to host a write in at some point. I have a really good set up for laptops at my dining table. I promise to banish the monsters next door if I can get a date nailed down!

Audrey, that sounds like an excellent idea at some point. If you decide to do one, I would hope it would be later in the week. Attending would be more likely then. :D

Oh as for Tuesday, I do get the posts emailed but I have a consistent conflict with this time. :( I figured rather than spamming each week, I'd just say that up front.
