Since there's a UofW post, I though I should set a UofM one up. I'd love to meet/write/hang out with any writers at the University.

Having some kind of meeting there would definitely be a good time.
Just out of curiosity, what Faculty are we all in? Pharmacy here.

I'm in U1, but I'll be going into the faculty of Arts.

I'm a new social work faculty member at U of Manitoba this year. In fact, this is my first full-time faculty position ever. Considering that, I may be nuts to be even trying NaNo, but it seems that every year, something huge comes up in my life that prevents me from either starting or finishing. I did my first NaNo around 2004 (had to register all over again because I lost my login info).
Are we planning any joint writing session times?

Doing a write out on campus would be totally cool!
I'm in first year Arts, going in the direction of linguistics.

Doing a campus write-out would be great. What days and times are good for everyone?

I'm in 4th year geology and (seemingly) at the university every day, so I would definitely be down for a meetup/writing session. Any time's fine for me.

Anyway, if anyone's interested in a writing buddy, feel free to stop by the geoclub/carrel room in the Wallace building. Ask for Kent, and if I don't have a class or a lab, I'd love to take an hour or two to work on our novels. It varies, but there's usually spaces available in Wallace be they empty classrooms or even tables in the main hallway (plug-ins available too).
Also, feel free to add me on Facebook if you want to see who I am before committing to a novelling session with me. :P

Hey ladies and gents, I'm an Environmental Engineering student in my fifth, and hopefully, final year. I have to admit that I fit the engineering stereotype of having no talent when it comes to general writing but I have ideas - lots and lots of ideas.
Nice to see some other 'tobans in here. Now I know I'm no the only one brave/silly/stupid enough to try doing this during the prime midterm period. I would love to have a group write-in but when is everyone available for a decent chunk of time? I'm free Monday and Tuesday after 2:30 and I tend to be at campus the odd Saturday and Sunday evening.

^That's pretty rude! We're here to novel, not rag on people's screennames...
Anyway! I'm at the university MWF and I think every saturday this month... I'm totally up for it if anyone wants a writing buddy.
Maybe try for monday (the 9th) around 2:30-3:00? I'm not really familar with much of the campus, so maybe we could meet in UCentre and then go from there? Or if that's not good for anyone, suggestions for a better time?

2:30 isn't a good time for me unfortunately, maybe a little earlier later if that's convenient to everyone else? I'm free from 11:30-2:30 and then all day after 3:30.

Monday I have a lab at 2:30, but I'm available after 4:30. Crowds would certainly be smaller for a late afternoon/early evening write if anyone's down. Wednesday and Friday I don't have any labs and only one class from 9:30-10:20 in the morning.

I looked at the events and didn't see any listed for tonight (Saturday), but if anyone's bored and wants to stop by, I'll be at IQs most of the evening. I want to write 3000, so I'll be there awhile!
