Hi Everyone
I think it's time to get together and get acquainted before the flurry of writing begins in a couple of weeks. Let's meet at Tin Roof Bakery on Sunday afternoon, October 18 at 2:30 P.M. They're open until 6:00 and the afternoon is fairly quiet so it should be a good time to meet and talk. Bring ideas for write-in locations during November. I think Tin Roof would be good for Sundays, but we'll need other locations for weeknight evenings. Terri has graciously offered her office as one choice, which sounds very nice. I'll look forward to meeting you next Sunday!
Have a good week.
Lynn

Is that in Chico? I've never heard of it.

I'll be there Lynn. Yes, my office is available in the evenings and on weekends when normally closed for business. There is plenty of parking and a bus stop is two doors away. We have WiFi, a coffee pot, a purified water dispenser for both cold and instant hot water, a refrigerator, vibrating chairs and a CD player for music. Of course a variey of locations adds to the experience of NaNo.

On the 18th, I'm going to be out of the country. I participated in Chico last year and look forward to participating again this year. Since I won't be there on the 18th, I did want to add that Cafe Flo is awesome and is now open until 9pm. I also spoke to the owner and she said she might even be willing to extend hours for the nights we would be there. The owners there are awesome!

Anyway, just a thought. I hope to meet you all soon.

I'm sorry. Tin Roof is in Chico at the corner of 7th St. and Broadway.

Terri your office sounds fabulous. When is it available? Think we should schedule some regular meeting there?

I agree about Cafe Flo. I love it there, it's charming and comfortable. Last year they weren't open on Sundays. Has that changed? They said last year they'd open for us if there were enough of us to make it worthwhile for them. If they're not open on Sunday, they would still be a good place for week nights when they don't have music. I'll stop and chat with them about it.
Thanks for the tip!

Sounds great! I'll definitely be there. I'm working on getting someone from the Orion (or just myself) to write an article about NaNoWriMo and see if we can get more people to join. I'll talk to everyone about it on Sunday.

Lynn,

Sure we can schedule meetings. Evenings after 5 pm Mon-Sat and anytime on Sundays are fine. Just pick days and times and let me know.

My office is at 582 Rio Lindo. It is between Prompt Care on Cohasset and Rio Lindo and Blood Source on Parmac and Rio Lindo. Lots of easy parking outside and lots of comfortable chairs inside.

It was fun to meet today and make some plans. The chocolate, caramel tart was delicious! Looking forward to getting down to the writing.

I had a great time meeting everyone as well. And, Teri, I'm SO EXCITED to go to the Night of Writing Dangerously, now!

Great! I changed the donation amount so I can bring a guest. That's you!
