I'm a new NaNoWriMo in Lufkin and was wondering if there are any other lost souls out there in the Lufkin/Nacogdoches area crazy enough to do this and being disappointed that the nearest separate region is Longview. Shout back at me if you can! Local support would be nice to have.

I just moved to Nac this fall. This is my third year doing NaNo, and it'd be great if there are others nearby doing the same. Anybody else out there?

Hey! I'm from Nacogdoches. I'll be happy to give you any support that I can. And thanks for making this! It's really cool to see that I'm not the only insane one in my area. :p

Moved to Nac in April and only just recently realized I needed to change my account to reflect that. *laugh* I was surprised to find that "Elsewhere" was the only group really available for this area. I honestly expected there to be more Nanoers around here!

Glad to see fellow writers in Nac! We should get together sometime to write. Of course, I'm not familiar enough with Nac, so I don't know any good meeting places except for SFA campus. Any suggestions?

I am from Crockett and am excited to see some Nanos so close to me. Any plans to get together before the first and go over rules and meet? Would be wonderful to have faces with names and moral support.

I can't get together this weekend unfortunately. It would be great to meet some fellow Nanos sometime though! If nothing else, next week works better for me even though I know the contest has then begun. Let me know if there are any further plans for all of us to get together and meet and greet and write and chat! :)

I've been in Nac for awhile now, but I just now got back into NaNo. I would totally be up for meeting with you, and there are a few decent places. SFA Campus is always a good choice, or possibly Java Jacks or Starbucks on North street, if you guys like the coffee house setting.

Hey! I'm over in Sabine County, but I think Nac is as close as I'm gonna get for a group. There aren't that many locals around who Nano, but you would be surprised. Last year there was even talk of a barbecue get-together, though it never panned out. Anyways, glad to see someone else from the Piney Woods come to write.

Hi! I live in Lufkin and this is my first year doing NaNoWriMo. I'm really excited and would love to get together with other Nano-ers to just hang out and have fun. Can't do it this weekend, I'm vacationing in San Antonio and won't be back until Monday night. It saddened me to see that we didn't get our own home region thing but we're still awesome!
----------I'm a slacker, I started on the 16th! 18,000 words in five days! Wish me luck...

I'd love to get together, but I'm out of town on weekends, so it wouldn't work for me. :(
