Hola, I would be willing to host a write-in at the Borders at the District on Friday Nights.
We have had write-ins at this location before + it is not ideal: closes early, rather loud, etc; but, it should work:

Tustin, CA 92782

Well, shoot. I'm bummed you guys chose to have the kick-off meeting on Halloween. I would imagine I'm not the only one who has plans with family and/or friends. And...uh...11 pm to 8 am? I feel old now. Just reading that made me tired. :)
Oh, well. I guess I will try to meet people at some of the various write-ins. Have fun!

One of the perks of still being in college, I guess; all those all-nighters we pull.
For me, I wouldn't be able to not stay up and write on the first day on NaNo. Way too excited to do that. If you're at all a morning person, you could always stop by Sunday morning. It might just be me tenuously holding to consciousness, but I'll be there.

Gina's is a short walk away from where I live, so I'll definitely be at the Halloween kickoff. I'm not sure about the write-in party afterward. I do have a writerfriend who has a car, and she's interested in joining, so we'll play that part by ear.
Wherever I am, I'll be writing all night too! You're right, Elijah-- last-minute essays and cramming for exams is good practice for that, haha.
Now all I have to do is find t-shirt iron-ons for my costume. :D

So glad to see that there's something planned for Vanguard! My husband works there, so I obviously live in the area. :o) Most of the NaNo events either seem to be super far south of me, or super far north.

I am so excited about this, and I go to UCI, to the tuesday write in at peet's is pretty much amazing, but I might have something going on that night. But I really want to come, and I'm super excited about this. I hope I get to meet people soon, because everyone in my dorm thinks I'm crazy. :)

I'm confused. The top post says the friday write in is 8-11, but all the posts say 11 to 8. :o Is it an all nighter or just evening?
