Hah, well, not a native Yooper, but I'm up here in Marquette for college. Can't wait to get down to the nitty-gritty!

And yeah, I have a title and synopsis down. (Though lord knows, that could always change!)
Tried not to do too much prelim work, just a basic idea of events and let it all mold its own way from there.

I am so excited that we have the most folks affiliated with the UP this year than ever before (176 and counting).

We will have a few meet-ups for this event, both in Marquette and beyond. I will be planning and hosting a wrap party at the end of the month. If anyone needs help organizing a Nanowrimo event, let me know.

As usual, I have no plot or ideas and have not even thought about my novel yet. Nothing an entire pot of coffee can't fix at 6 a.m. on Day One, though!

I'm originally from the Detroit area, but in Marquette for college right now.

Seems like I'm always the lonely one in the east end of the UP... but that's okay. I'm still glad to be here.

I'm from L'Anse...doing this for the first time this year. Really excited!

I'm a 15 year old from the South-Western edge of the U.P. in Gogebic County.

I'm from Ishpeming which is pretty close to Marquette. I didn't suspect so many people from the UP were going to this, I don't feel so alone now :D.

welcome! make sure you check the other thread about meet ups and write-ins, or if you are feeling ambitious, plan an event! I was thinking that Congress Pizza might be a neat place to meet up...not necessarily to write, but to met each other..maybe for the wrap party at the end?

I'm from Houghton and a born Yooper. I'll bet I'm the youngest here considering I'm still in high school, but that's all right.
This'll be my second year, but I didn't win last year. I will this time though! I'm determined! >:D

I am in Marquette, Michigan. I m not sure this will be a Novel as I tend to be quite an autobiograpical writer. Perhaps memoir. Perhaps Auto-Bio Fiction. I think it might get sprinkled with poems and short quips. Very non traditional. Most of what I write comes out in vignettes of paragraphs that seem to have neither a beginning nor ending.

I am currenlty trying to make spac ein my life to shift from a "day job" to a life sustained by my creative endevaours. This month is going to be full of ch-ch-changes.

I'm not a Yooper, but I am planning on moving up to Marquette in 2010. I'm currently living in Hayward, WI. I hope you don't mind a non-Yooper joining your group for this endeavor.
