I only joined a few days ago. Still learning the ropes. I'm close to Menlyn Park? Why? What happens at a write-in? I don't think I'll be able to write a single word in Menlyn, if that is what you mean! It is too noisy and I don't like the energy there.

There's a place called "The Place" ? Lol, I've never noticed it.
The Grove has an open air type area for the food court. There's a Woolworths coffee shop, an Ocean Basket, another coffee shop, it's not House of Coffees or Mugg n Bean, but is one of the franchises, just can't remember which. There's a Spur in the making. On the other side is a Wimpy and a Mugg n Bean in the making.
The Spur and Mugg n Bean weren't yet open when I was last there, but I'll be there again tomorrow and see if maybe they are now.
Menlyn and "The Place" work for me too though, just throwing ideas around.
What does everyone think? A "quick" get together on the 1st just to say hi, and kick it off?

I want to go to the Kick-off in Rosebank on the 1st, it sounds waaayyyy too much fun to miss. Maybe we can meet the 31st? Otherwise I can do both on one day but, seeing as Rosebank is @ 14h00, we'll have to make it early.

I'm booked for one of those obligatory family gatherings on the 31st. If there are enough people interesting in doing something early on the 1st we should do that, otherwise organize a write in for the next weekend or some such.
If more people are suited to the Saturday thats fine, but I'll have to skip.

Maybe we could do something on the 31st? Just remember that this is Pretoria, on Halloween,(so the goths won't pitch), a summer Saterday (so lots of weddings) and the CurrieCup Final (which means anyplace with a tv will be crazy!)

In between finding my lost plot (hidden in the dark depths of a corrupted file) and attending the JHB kick-off I won't make it for the 31st. I'd love to attend any write-ins you guys have in mind, though.
If I may suggest, why don't we have a weekly write in on Saterday or Sunday afternoons? Please see which day suits everyone best (I can attend both) and then we can decide on a location.

Quick request: Would any of those of you who are here for round 2 or more of this EPIC FUN, please NaNoMail me if you would like to herd these cats to events and such.
There are enough of you wanting events for you to have your own events and you need an ML coordinating it.
It is never too late to sign up for this job but you have to have attempted NaNoWriMo at least once before you can do it.
If no one steps up to the bat, I will still direct people to this thread to find out what is happening in PTA and you are welcome to organise your own events anyway.
