I know we had this thread last year, so I hope I'm not stepping on toes here!
The whole point of this thread last year was to promote other things we might be doing that could be of interest to our fellow Shoreliners. I have two things to share:
1. October 23 in Hartford is Cedar Hill Cemetery's annual Haunted History Lantern Light Tour. Bring a flashlight and wear comfy shoes! It starts at 6pm. Details are at www.cedarhillcemetery.org.
2. The rest of the Fridays and Saturdays in October, the Mark Twain House will be having special nighttime tours called The Graveyard Shift. Come hear tales about the ghosts that may be haunting the famous author's home! reservations strongly recommended... this one sells out! www.marktwainhouse.org.

I don't know for sure if this is the right place for this, but I'm so super stoked and I wanted to share my joy with the world, and other writers!
I just got asked to be a contributing writer to a website called GeekaChicas (can I link? www.GeekaChicas.com) and my first post is up, and I TOTALLY GEEKED OUT with excitement!
That's my other event during Nano--I'll be writing for this website. One of the things I will be contributing will be inspired by my NaNoWriMo novel-- I'm going to be posting (eventually) letters from my characters to one another. These are pieces that won't be included in the book itself, just to offer a taste and get people interested.
