Is there anyone out there gearing up for 2009 NaNoWriMo that lives in the New Bedford, Dartmouth, Freetown, Lakeville, Middleboro, Raynham-ish areas?

Hello Kelly and other South Coast / South Shore folks.... I'm an East Freetown WriMo. Looking forward to another year. Hope to attend some local write-ins this year (didn't make any of them in 08!). Anyone know if we have a municipal liaison for our area this year?

Whilst I'm not in the areas you've mentioned, my town is considered part of the South Shore. I'm from Norwell, a teeny, tiny little town.

Dartmouth here. First shot at it. Ard87 showed the site and info to me and I am thusly hooked.

Salutations, Kelly
and you all wrimos from around here (Here means Westport) Yes, I think I'm going to try this again. So far in my head I have setting, characters, dialogue, philosophic viewpoints, a few significant events and not even a trace of a plot. I do not see this situation improving. I guess that means Literary Fic for me this year. Local write-ins would be good. (Marisols in Dartmouth anyone?)

Hi! We're going to be meeting at the cottage on the campus of the Ames Free Library in Easton again this year!
We started a facebook group (because what aspiring writer isn't on fb on a daily basis??). If you're interested, please join!! http://www.facebook.com/topic.php?topic=11227&uid=2204585636#/group.php?...
We're looking at Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5:30 - 7:30 or 8ish.
We're going to see if we can use it for a pre-nano meet up on Oct. 29th from 6:30-7:30pm.
Hope to see you there!!!

Hey Jen! How are you?
You don't read your NANO mail I guess! *lol* This is Wenont (Raven) from Lakeville! I was hoping you'd be the ML again this year. I did the write in thing with your group in 2007. Am planning on coming around this year too! Oh, and congrats on your first Dan too! WooT!
I'll be sure to take a gander at the South Shore forum around the end of the month. I'm itching to get going!!
Best Regards!
*oops*
Please disregard that blank entry down there *points* Had a bit of a fingerfart with the 'post comment' button...Oy

Ooh, Lakeville is smack dab in the middle between my home and job. I'd be down for a write-in at Lakeville Public Library or Somethin's Brewin.

Hi there Kmello!
I know Freetown...Spent a lot of time at the Wampanoag Reservation there in the Freetown/Fall River State Forest. Well, if we can't make a Southie write-in, I'd be game for a mini write in at either place. Course, I would have to know where Somethin's Brewin was! LOL!

Hi Jen and everyone,
As Laura (Veruca) wrote above, we're setting up write-ins at the Easton Library cottage again this year, most likely on Tues and Thurs from 5:30-7:30. We want to do a meet and greet on October 29 (Thurs), like we did last year. I'm waiting for confirmation from the library on that one. We'll post more info once everything is finalized. Jen--let me know if you can make it!

A big shout out from Norfolk County, in dinky little Sharon -=slash=- not so dink Norwood.
I've never been to a write-in before, it sounds like super fun.
Unfortunately, for the first time ever, I'll be doing something the night NaNo begins. In freakin New Jersey for Chiller Con, hell yah!! (And 3 to no ideas for this years story.)

Somethin's Brewin is right across the street from the new library. In fact, it is in the old library's building on the corner of Main and Precinct Streets.

Here's more info for the Easton write-ins:
For the second year, there will be "write-ins" at the Ames Free Library Cottage at 56 Main Street in North Easton to celebrate November as National Novel Writing Month. The cottage will be a place for writers to come together to write from 5:30-7:30 on Tuesday and Thursday evenings throughout November. On Thursday October 29 from 6:30-7:30, there will be a kick-off event at the Cottage, where people interested in the group can meet each other and learn about the program. For more information go to http://www.nanowrimo.org or email christinejunge@hotmail.com
Thanks!
Christine

Are we going to have a calendar posted like we did last year so we can add write-ins that might take place in other places?

Groovy. I'll make an effort for the 29th, though it is a school night. Fer shame.

I was about to ask where Marisol's is located, when it occurred to me to just look it up. What ensued is a fairly sizable "duh". I can walk there from my house. Thus, there are 5 of us that can definitely drop in there.

Berkley wrimo checking in! Pleased to report that I feel relatively prepared for the month (of course, feeling prepared and BEING prepared are entirely different things). If there are any high-school-aged writers around, PM me--maybe we could get together sometime! I'm in high school myself (homeschooled).
I'm definitely interested in getting together with any wrimos from the area, really, so...any write-ins in the area sound fun to me. Lakeville's not far away at all, so Somethin's Brewin' works well for me. I'm also in the Dartmouth area, though, so Marisol's is a go as well! Definitely looking forward to November this year.

Hey kids!
Christine, you're awesome for setting up in Easton. I'm throwing together a calendar that will go in Mass: Plymouth and I'll put it here also, and I'll include the write-ins at your library. Tuesdays and Thursdays are a little hairy for me but I'm hoping to get to at least one.
And hello to all familiar to me...!

Kelly, I made you an admin on the fb page so that you can create events for any write-ins closer to your area. if anyone else wants to do that, let me know and i'll make you one too. :]
