Come on now. I can't be the only one! I'm a sophomore at SFSU studying Classical Achaeology. What about the rest of you?

I'm also at State and going into my 3rd year as a PoliSci major. Thanks to those oh-so-gracious budget cuts I'm barely a full time student, so I might actually get halfway through NaNo this year. It just seems like November is always the busiest month of the semester... Is it cheating if you shamelessly plug your midterm/final papers at the time into your story to bump the word count? I'm not saying I've done that or anything, but desperate times do call for desperate measures.

Lol. I have no idea if that is cheating or not, but I have to admit that I'm tempted. I have a 10 page research paper due in Roman Culture on December 2nd. It would kinda work out i guess... I mean my story is about ancient Rome after all... This season just sucks. This is my first Nano, and it just has to come at a time where I have at least 2 hours of nightly latin homework, as well as one large exam per week for all of October and November. FML. And you've got to love that budget of ours. I barely managed to get a fourth class, and would have been kicked out of housing if I hadn't.

Aww, I feel bad now "/
Frosh here at Stanford Uni from the insane land known as "Maryland." This isn't my first time NaNo-ing but this will be my first time as a college student so I'm really nervous... Especially since my computer ate my character sheets =3=
Your weather has thrown me all whack, yo. I think I'm safe since most of my end of term exams are in December, but my FL and CS classes are killing me xD
So, if anyone would be so kind as to show this poor newb the ropes, I'd be grateful ^_~

I'm a 1st year senior at SFSU with a Theater/English double-major, and a 6th year NaNo-er. My costume crew duties for one of the shows overlap a bit with NaNo, and I have an essay due every week for one English class, but since I have no plans over Thanksgiving break, I'm hoping it will all even out. Yay, college.

i've attempted Nano the last two years and haven't got very far.. i'm a international student from the UK and suddenly remembered about it so thought i'd give it a shot again. third time lucky and all! i'm a third year who chose stupidly advanced classes (not understanding the system being english etc) so we'll see how it goes.

Senior at SFSU here, in the BECA (Radio & Television) Dept. My first NaNo this year, looking forward to studying for two big tests and writing a handful of papers in November, in addition to endless revisions of sitcom scripts, plus I'm in the middle of updating a friends blog and starting two podcasts (eek!) We'll see just how well this crazy adventure goes, looking forward to commiserating with you all starting Sunday ^_^

Sophomore at SFSU, Philosophy/Creative writing double major. I get to combine NANO with two separate philosophy papers, on 7 pages, the other 10 pages! Perhaps we should have some sort of SFSU write in seeing as there's at least a handful of us... Anyone else up for it?

I'd like that, Ex. We should definitely work out at least a couple of write-ins if we can manage, 'twould be awesome.

I'm at stanford also, although much older then a frosh. I'll be hosting stanford/palo alto write ins. Not positive about the details yet, but I'm thinking Wed night at prolific oven in palo alto, Friday afternoon at Nexus cafe, and maybe a Saturday day on in Palo alto.

Wow there are a lot of us actually. We should definitely do a write-in in West Portal or on campus.
I'm also a Cinema Major 2nd year. This will be my third year on Nanowrimo but not consecutive. I'll be facing considerable amounts of school work and paper writing as I push my wordcount.
Very interested in a write-in or many, as I said.
Cheers

I'm a second-year English major with a concentration in writing at USF! I'm seriously considering asking one of my professors if I could get extra credit if I finish all 50,000 words, haha. Good luck to all of you with finals and huge papers and everything! I have a couple papers to do this month, but I don't think it will be too difficult to get some nano-ing in, too... This is my first year doing this, I'm so excited!

Yes! Cheating it is, unless of course you are Anne Rice! I did mention, did I, that she was a PoliSci major. And so was I, decades, ago! Do your finals, and just keep blathering on, NaNoWriMo will love you anyway. But no nasty PoliSci papers! I myself did a cartoon for my MA final. Dr. Pomerleau loved it as did Heather. The rest....well, no one said a word!

Hello, all! I'm an English Education major (but with major desires to be a Creative Writing major... but I like the idea of summer breaks for writing novels!) This is my third year NaNo-ing, but the first year I think I'll actually make the 50,000.
