(cross-posted)

I know Ocean County is smack dab in the middle of everything, but there are a few of us around here.
Is anyone fairly close or would be interested in heading down for a write-in every now and then?
I'm from the Toms River area with a friend in the Manchester area. We would absolutely love to get together with anyone willing :)

I live in Manahawkin/Stafford Townshiparea(or should I say) Cedar Run-West Creek area? Those of you who live in this area will understand that! I am interested in meeting for a write-in and can use and share all the support available.

Is anybody out there? I thought we would get a better reaction from this end of South Jersey! Most of the other rmeetings are taking place a bit far away from me, so it would be better if we could get a group of our own, and meet in say, the Tom's River area or Waretown or Manahawkin or Cedar Run-maybe Long Beach Island? I am willing to try and find place if there is any interest. Let me know, MB

Sorry for the delay in response :p.
There are about 8 people interested in write-ins currently. There is a Cafe in Brick (near Stop N Shop) that is quaint with free wifi. Their hours are 6:30am-4pm though.
Also going to look into the Panera on Route 9 in Howell to see what their hours are and what their setup is. Hopefully they are open a bit later.
Suggestions are welcome and if you know what days/times are good or bad for you then please share!

*** Please inform me of your schedules ***
I need to know what days and times are good for everyone :)
-

Weekends might only be good in the early morning until 12:30pm
We found a Cafe in Brick that is open from 6:30am-4pm Monday-Saturday and 6:30am-2pm on Sunday.
Looking into Panera in Howell for later hours.
Suggestions are still welcome!

Unkindloving, pagedove:

if no one gets back to you, just find a day/time that will work for the two of you and go from there! even two people makes a write-in. Heck, even if its just you, you'll still have the time set aside for yourself to work on your novel, company or no :)

Unfortunately I'm far away from Toms River, otherwise I'd come out if I could! Even if it is just two, being positive and enthusiastic about your write-ins will attract the interest of others :)

A write-in is essentially a meet-up where you gather with other writers and you.. write lol. Most people would bring laptops - i don't have one so i am resorting to good ol' pen and paper for outings. It won't just be writing, but a time where you can ask for advice or share plot ideas you're excited about. Anything of that nature.

The Cafe is in the Stop N Shop and A.C. Moore plaza. At the very beginning of Brick going up Hooper. 55 Brick Boulevard.
The best suggestion we got for TR was The Java Joint, but parking is usually awful around there. If you have any TR suggestions that would be great. Someone also mentioned the Jackson Library.

hello, other ocean county writers. I chickened out on going to the Brick kick-off today because i still have not started my nanowrimo novel, and am having significant trouble committing to an idea. But it is reassuring to know other people, even in ocean county new jersey, are trying to do the same thing.

If anyone is interested in holding a writing group during/ after nanowrimo, i would be interested also. I live on LBI but am pretty portable.

Good luck with all your endeavors----
