Hey there, Rita! I'm from Zanesville but I go to Miami, where I ML. I'll be home around the Thanksgiving time, and I've always wanted to try to get something together during the Thanksgiving time, but nobody's ever come. I know where Central Pres is as well (I've played there occasionally).

I won't be there on the Tuesdays you suggested until Christmas break, but if you do plan anything, let me know.

We will be meeting at Tim Horton's in South Zanesville today at 4 PM for a pre-nano get together. Everyone is welcome to join us. I will try to come up with a schedule for periodic meet-ups or write-ins today with those who show up. I'll give the details soon. -Rita

Hi all! My name is Goldie and I live in Cambridge, just a stone's throw away from you.

I have a quick question and I'm having trouble finding the answer on the site. I apologize if it's inappropriate for here. I have a story I started earlier that I've written 19,000 + words for. I want to adjust my word limit on here from 50k to 30k to use this story for nanowrimo. Do I just leave a comment on my page that that's what I'm doing or is there a separate contest? I saw that someone else mentioned on a different site that they had set there word count max to 25k.

Thank you for your thoughts!

I'm from Cambridge, and this is the first year I have tried this. I wrote a complete novel finishing it this past summer but I was never happy with the way it turned out so I am scrapping the entire book, Re-working it and starting all over. The only thing that is the same are the names of the Characters. I even changed the location from a real place, to a fictional place.

I believe just write and finish your novel. I wouldn't worry about winning or losing Nanowrimo since in the end if you complete your manuscript you are a winner, no matter how many words. I don't know how to set your word limit differently.

Tonight is the first time in 4 days that I have been able to write, I started the night with 7000 words, After 3 hrs of writing, I completed 4000. Now I'm only 10000 words behind schedule, but if I can keep this pace up, I can catch up.

I may be down but I'm not out. Not bad for my first Nanowrimo.

Not sure if anyone else is still around but it is almost 5am and I got 7000 words done tonight. I'm slowly catching up to where I need to be. By my calculations I should have had just over 23000 word done today, technically yesterday. I'm at just over 17000. If I can keep a good pace I can at least be on schedule in a few days.
