Have you decided where write ins will be held? Remember the place we went last year? It reopened under new management. I went in the other night to see what it was like and it was a lot better. More amenities. What about the library? I know you were going to check into it? It would be *great* if we could do it at the library.

*Jason enters with caution* Whoa... Ninja monkeys? Spider monkeys are bad... but have you possibly considered training them in art of ninjitsu and then giving them weaponry? Gives a WHOLE new meaning to the phrase, "I'm coming at you like a SPIDER MONKEY!!!"

*shakes head* wait there's someone else here too!!! OH FOR JOY!!! I am so happy I could rupture a spleen!!!! Wait Wait... there it went!!!

Howdy, I am Jason.... NOT an ML.... they're sick right now. Stick around this is going to be a GREAT YEAR!!!

Ya, know, when I lived in Seattle, each group had a HUGE BLAST with the partys.... usually going WAY into the night... and the write ins.. well, they were a menagerie of coffee and typing... with the occasional conversation to make sure we truly did not go insane!

So.... *looks around* any more peeps?

We do have several locations in mind for write-ins and Susan will be confirming with them today and over the weekend. Barnes & Noble, Crispers, Panera Bread, and the library are all major players, but there’s a super-amazing new location we’re wanting to introduce this year for as many “quick meets” as humanly possible. The Ocala’s Chocolate and Confections shop downtown.

If you haven’t been already, you should go and look forward to “chocolate runs” whenever we need a sweet writing pick-me-up. The owners, Norman and Carrie Ann are some of the nicest people you will ever meet and the handmade chocolate is fantastically delicious; in addition to chocolate and food covered in chocolate, there is also ice cream available. Soon, they will also have Jamaican coffee. So look forward to it! :D

The place from last year? The Internet Cafe? If that's the case, I didn't know they had reopened, but that sounds like something worth looking into. Do you have any more information on it?

Yes, the Cafe is now open again... but for how long?

Who knows? It's been open for awhile now. I spoke with the lady who runs it and she says business is good.

Really the point was I was letting the ML know it was open again. I certainly didn't say we had to meet there. Frankly where y'all meet isn't all that important because I'll be lucky to make even one write-in let along multiple write-ins.

I'll have to look more into the cafe and see if I can't get some more information, but that's for the heads-up!

Crusnik, I'm sorry to hear you might not be able to make many of our meetings. I certainly hope you can, but if not, we'll be cheering you on online! :)

Hi! I'm Megan. It's so great to see that there are so many other Ocala participants. I was afraid I might be one of the only ones :)
This year will be my first Nano, and I'm excited to jump in and kickstart my writing progress. I've got a busy, busy schedule already for November, but hopefully the fast pace will allow for even more writing.

I'd love to hear more about future Write Ins, and hope to be able to make it to some of them. The chocolate shop downtown sounds like a great place (and it's in walking distance for me, so bonus points!)

I look forward to interacting with each of you more over the next few weeks!
