Since signing up for NaNoWriMo this year, I've been browsing the forums and notice Dragonchilde's name pretty much everywhere. She seems to be one of the main guardians of the NaNoWriMo forums and has been answering questions, putting out fires, helping to keep things running smoothly in this community.

I know there are many volunteers, but I'm singling out Dragonchilde because I posted a whiny/crabby question about the rules recently and Dragonchilde answered me with more patience than I deserved, and directed me to a forum (the Rebels!) where I could find like-minded individuals. :-D

I suspect that volunteers like Heather get a lot more complaints and negative comments than praise, hence this thread.

So I'd like to raise a virtual glass to Heather/Dragonchilde and give a toast to her efforts this year and over the many other NaNoWriMo years.

THANK YOU, HEATHER!!

Debbie

Did I just discover a question that Heather, Woman of ALL KNOWLEDGE, CAN'T ANSWER!?

Forget the world ending (according to the thread in the Coffeehouse) in Dec 2012, IT'S ENDING RIGHT NOW!

I heartily concur with sending KUDOS to Heather!!

This is my first time co-moderating a forum (a SINGLE forum--not MULTIPLES like she & the others do) & I can see just what sort of dedication this takes!!

To Heather & all of you who keep track of these forums & make it work so smoothly for the rest of us:

Another thing: Did you know that Heather likely reads every single post we make in these forums? That takes much more time than you'd think. We're a busy and posty lot, and I know I'm not helping that any.

Now can I have a jetpack, Mommy?

THANK YOU!

This thread has been long-coming, you are awesome and wise and patient and.... yay!

I wish I was more than one person... it would make things so much easier.

I'll tell you one thing, though. I wouldn't be able to manage without the tireless efforts of volunteer mods like LousyWriter13 (who keeps me sane in the NaNo etc forums) Keladryie, karalianne, and all the others... without them, I'd go slowly nuts. And of course, most importantly... Cybele, who still works tirelessly behind the scenes.

Umm... Let me get back to you on that one...

Isn't Chris Baty the father of this whole endeavor? I think that would be the best answer - and perhaps give him even more responsibilities than he has already ...

Yes, but if we're the NaNo children...

Lots of thanks to Dragonchilde. Around the web, you're the coolest--and nicest--forums moderator ever.
