There are quite a few people writing in Redcar itself and thereabouts! I'm Jo, Co-ML for Darlington. We broadly cover Darlo itself, South Durham, Teesside and North-East Yorkshire. Last year we held a write-in in Redcar Library, one in Middlesbrough and one in Saltburn. I'm originally from Brotton myself. We are going to hold write-ins in Cleveland this year as well. I have friends near you including three-times winner Rummbaabaa (Chris) so you're in great company.

Hope to see you soon,

Jo

I'm in Redcar! I was really, really surprised to find a topic for little old Redcar, actually.

Hiya,

For the last few years, I've been in Manchester and it had its own forum, and everyone who had that as their region automatically got the emails from the Manchester ML. Since this is a thread in the 'elsewhere' forum and Darlington/Durham/Teesside/this general area doesn't have its own forum, I'm worried I'll miss any events that are going on! Do you have a mailing list or something that you could add me to, so I'll get all the information about the meetups? If there's another one in Redcar, I'd love to go!

Darlington/Teesside has its own forum here: http://www.nanowrimo.org/eng/node/1012937

Go to the Teesside Write in thread in this forum and let us know when and where you would prefer to have write-ins. Ask and it shall be done.
On the other hand, if we don't hear anything, we'll go ahead and organise it anyway...so have your say. ;-)

All details of Darlington/Teesside meets are to be found in the Google calendar in the Darlington forum header. Check back regularly for updates, and if you make us your home region you will of course receive helpful emails from me and Bel!

We will probably be changing the region name to Darlington and Tees next year. I was born in Boro, so I know it well.

Happy Novelling!

Jo.

I'm just up the road in Hartlepool. We are having a meet up in cafe rappor on York Road form about 1pm this coming Tuesday if you can pop us at all. The more the merrier.

We have a thread going over on the Newcastle boards, we seem to congregate between there and Darlington.

Look forward to seeing you

Chelle
