Hey all :) Just looking for a some writing buddies (hence the title)!
I'm 22 - just graduated from Montclair State as an English/Creative Writing major - and am extremely bored with unemployment (I want to be a high school English teacher). My favorite form of punctuation is actually a tie between the comma and the dash (yes, I find this VITAL INFORMATION! .....).
My novel is going to be about an American girl and an English boy who develop a relationship via text messages. Obviously there is a lot more to the plot than just that, but it's the quickest summary I could give. There is a little more detail on my page, so check it out if you want :)
So... be my buddy?
My AIM sn is "lovesthecomma" so I'm always open to conversations about writing!

I'd lvoe to be a writing buddy. :) I'm 16 (yes, one of the babies) and actually looking into going to Montclair for English/Creative Writing or Musical Theatre. I am horribly indecisive, hence the massive stress ball in my head. xD How was the program there? I know tons about their Theatre section but not much about their English.

I'm willing and able to be buddies with anyone. I'm currently studying English. I don't know what I plan on doing with it. But I was always told do what you love, and everything else will fall into place. I don't know if that actually works. But, hey, I guess I will find out eventually. I'm at BCC right now, and looking to transfer out in a year. Montclair is on my list.

I'm 23, a little over a year out of college and unemployed (like the rest of the known world, it seems). I'm writing a book about romance and mistaken identity in New York City. Yes I know it sounds corny, give me a break I wanted to do something I was sure I could power through in my first NaNo. Hope to talk to you guys soon!

I'm seventeen and wanting to major in English when I get older, though I'm not sure where I want to go for schooling after high school.
I don't have AIM, but I'd love to be part of this little writing buddy group. My MSN is: minijuneberry@hotmail.com

I am fifteen and currently a high school sophomore. I don't know what I want to major in when I get to college, but it is looking to be something in English at the moment.
I do have an AIM, but I must ask that you ask for it here and give your in return. I am not very friendly when I don't know who is trying to contact me.

hey! my name is Valerie. for some reason i have an aversion to hitting the shift key when it's not an e-mail or a typed document. so any for of social network i just get lazy. i do make an acceptation for proper nouns like names or titles. sorry for my awkwardness. i swear my novel doesn't look like this though....
i also go to Montclair. i am 20 & a senior. currently i am majoring in theatre: production/design but i am also working on post grad stuff in art education. for theatre, i do scenic stuff like painting or prop making, but for fine arts i prefer graphic design....
depending on the course sections, i really want to take some sort of creative writing class soon. any suggestions from people who have already taken one at MSU?
enough about me. i don't quite know how to describe my novel. it's YA with fantasy characters in a real life setting (no magical lands & stuff like that). i guess you could classify them as gargoyles. they are more along the lines of statues although i do incorporate traditional grotesques. there's some romance, but it's mainly about figuring how they came to be & why they are different from other mythical beings. they are definitely a minority - there's only 10 of them.
this is my first NaNo so i don't know what to expect. my friend ErinLynnS convinced me to sign up. so here i am.
november is going to be a crazy month for me, but i would love the challenge. even if i don't make it to 50K, i will probably get a lot more done if i didn't push myself this much.
if you want, you can also follow me on twitter. it's the same as my name here: Valerie_ES
and in case you haven't noticed, i ramble a lot. but, hey, that's what editing is there for....

i am adding you ALL! so don't be surprised.
i don't do aim/yahoo/etc. it's a miracle i reply back to emails!
and Valerie, don't worry....i don't use the shift for capitals either (in my writing & formal things, is the exception) when using forums, i just say it's my 'style' ;)

Hey, y'all.
I'm Annalynn. I'm 17-years-old and a junior in high school, looking to major in English or creative writing (Brown would be my top choice, but of course that's a stretch). I did NaNo last year - unfortunately I have yet to win. But I have faith!
Nice to meet everyone.

thanks _Lissa_ ! glad to hear i'm not alone....
people hate when i try to explain how it's "okay" not to use caps for stuff like this. as long as you know that correct way to do it & do it when needed, then i don't see any problem. i do find it difficult to read stuff online with bad grammar though. or WheNN thEYS TypES LiiiIIKKkkes DddissS. that bugs me. unless you have finger spasms that happen near the shift/caps lock key, i don't think it's acceptable....

Hi! My response seems a bit delayed, but I'd love to have more writing buddies this year. It's such a huge help and incredibly fun :D. I'm 17 and a senior in high school in the middle of applying to too many colleges. I would give out my more "professional" sounding e-mail, but I really don't check it that often, so I'm going with this one if anyone wants to talk writing: x0zulla0x@aim.com
